NARAL's own co-founder, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, admits the organization lied about the number of women who died from legal abortions when testifying before the Supreme Court in 1972.
"We spoke of 5,000 - 10,000 deaths a year.... I confess that I knew the figures were totally false ... it was a useful figure, widely accepted, so why go out of our way to correct it with honest statistics?" he said.
In other words, they were willing to say ANYTHING in order to kill more babies.

That’s bullshit! If they really want free abortions, they can always seek out state funds. California requires state funding for abortions, via the state Supreme Court. Setting aside the obvious, that killing babies was never meant to be a Federal entitlement, the Federal government doesn’t have the funds to spend like that.

Since these people tend to be polar opposites of conservatives, they never think of free markets or (gasp) the own personal donation of their own money. Not that this would make abortion any less abominable, but it would lessen their hypocrisy a great deal.
