A video by the mother of soldier deployed to Afghanistan posted to You Tube on Veterans Day contains an emotional plea to Barack Obama to send more troops to Afghanistan and rips Obama for partying, golfing and dithering while soldiers like her son are in desperate need of reinforcements.
The video is entitled, Mr. Obama, Our Troops are Dying!
She calls herself 'Debbie' and says she took her son to the airport on November 2nd when his leave was up to rejoin his outfit, 5th Stryker Brigade 1-17 ID.
The five-minute-thirty-five-second video is illustrated with photos of the war in Afghanistan and grieving families back home. Debbie addresses Obama throughout the video. At the beginning she tells Obama she is speaking as a mother of a soldier and that for the first time in her adult life, she is embarrassed by her president.
She describes her son as "a husband and father of two young children, a brother, an uncle and a friend."
Here is a transcript of a good part of the video:
"As commander-in-chief you don't have the luxury to ponder this decision as if it were one of your many parties at the White House.
"Mr. Obama, as you fly around the world apologizing for America and try to get the Olympics in your hometown, and golf, and have party after party after party in the White House our men and women are dying and losing limbs in Afghanistan.
"By the way, how many golf games have you played? How many parties have you had? How many fundraisers and campaign events have you attended in the last ninety days since you were told we needed more troops?
"How can you justify that when you've had maybe five or six war councils in the same amount of time?
"These men and women are not your political pawns. You can't put this decision off any longer. There's a difference between caution and indecision. You can never take away the feelings of abandonment seared in the hearts and minds of our troops and their families.
"Mr. Obama your indecision has left blood on your hands. You, sir, should be ashamed of yourself. Your priorities are in disarray. Your top focus should be to protect the troops defending your freedom and keeping our homeland safe.
"You said the war in Afghanistan was a war of necessity. I personally can never forgive you for misleading us. You made it sound like you were going to do what needed to be done to win in Afghanistan. Another lie. Instead you put them on the backburner in hopes of pushing through a health care reform that most of us don't even want.
"You left my son and all the other troops like sitting ducks. Mr. Obama you should be ashamed of yourself.
"....Do you have any idea what your indecision is doing to the morale of our troops? Mr. Obama, the clock is ticking and the blood is spilling.
"In closing I want to thank Gen. McChrystal for his sacrifice and service. Your frustration must be huge not having a president to support you. We support you here at home..."
The video was written about in a column at the Examiner blog site with a message from 'Debbie.'
"Debbie - MY name is Debbie and my son is a member in the 5th Stryker Brigade 1-17 ID fighting in Afghanistan. I can't just sit here any longer while the extra troops they need are being pushed on the back burner. I created a YouTube video and I hope you can help by watching it and passing it along. We need to keep our Soldiers in the forefront and I don't know how else to help them. Please help me and view this video immediately and pass it on. This comes straight from the heart of the mother of an American Soldier. YouTube Video Mr. Obama Our Troops Are Dying. Please honor this mother's request."
The description of the video at You Tube is: "My feelings, as a mother of a U.S. soldier, about President Obama's indecision and procrastination towards sending more troops to Afghanistan to reinforce those now fighting there."
The You Tube account that uploaded the video, ThePatriotRoom, was created on November 2nd, the same day 'Debbie' took her son to the airport for his return to Afghanistan. This is the only video uploaded to this account.
Mr. Obama, Our Troops are Dying! had been viewed 224 times at the time of this posting according to the You Tube counter.

Heartbreaking...Write your Congressmen, the Armed Services Committee. Either give them the support they need or get them the hell out! I favor the latter.
