Question: would you elect a known pedophile to public office? As long as they have sex with children only in the privacy of their own bedroom?

No. But you knew that.

BTW, your reading apparently stopped before you saw this part of my post, which was hard to miss:

I don't give a damn what someone does in the bedroom with a consenting adult

>> No. But you knew that.

Yes, I was pretty sure I did know.

But it begs the question: why then do you support sex perverts of any sort in public office?

Homosexuality is not a “character flaw”. It is a sexual perversion.

A group of sex perverts with an agenda, I might add.

So, genital mutilation is OK, with mutual consent? Some do that, you know. I’ll find you a link if you don’t believe me.

I think my point is hard to miss also: you’re on a slippery slope.

I know quite a few Conservative Lesbians for whom I would gladly vote for public office. That said, if this woman is a liberal, thats reason enough to oppose her.

“The problem is that most liberal homosexual elected officials don’t do the job they were elected to do.”

Exactly right - and anyone who doesn’t believe that may want to take a look at what school children are being subjected to in states (and countries) that have gay marriage.

If not hiding her lesbianism means "making her private life public," that logic is no better than that of Letterman and the other asses who've attacked Palin's family.

Where society has degenerated to the point that flamboyant lesbian office seekers are morally equated with 17-year-old schoolgirls whose life's mistakes have been ruthlessly exposed by pedophile bloggers, the measures needed to restore public morality unfortunately need to be very harsh.

"Mrs. Tick was born there, and I do a lot of business there. I always thought of Houston as quite conservative — overall, perhaps, the MOST conservative large city in Texas."

That'd had been my take, also. Remembering I live about as far from Houston as possible without being in Canada? LOL

"Problem is, there is Houston proper, and lots of little incorporated areas in and around Houston, in the 'Houston SMSA'."

Up here we've the same thing around The City of Milwaukee; which, is itself located within Milwaukee County. Milwaukee County has many cities, towns & villages commonly referred to as 'suburbs' and all have their own political bent.
So, I [now] get-it.

"So maybe between Katrina refugees, the large minority ‘Rat population, and who knows what else, Houston proper has gone over to the dark side."

Makes complete sense; especially, the displaced Katrina 'refugees'. FWIW I belong to a sports car board and while I do not "know" any of the Houston members? I have heard them complain, since the arrival of 'refugees' from NO et al, their vehicles have been robbed. Tires/wheels stolen etc whereas before it wasn't a major issue.

"But the major industry is oil & gas, and those folks are pretty conservative as a group."

And naturally those people live in the suburbs.
Gottit. ;^)

"Just my 2c"

More than that, an education for which I thank you kindly. :^)

I agree with you completely on the part about bringing the agenda into the office. But I personally know some gay people who not only don't do that, but are actual, not Log Cabin, Republicans and loathe Obama.

Yes, that's why I qualified my previous statement with "liberal homosexual elected officials." There are gays who don't try to foist it off onto the rest of us.

The fools who elected Lee Brown as Mayor, the only police chief in NYC who came close to being lynched for incompetance, and then let in a bunch of Katrinamal thugs in the name of “Christian duty” (SCHMUCKS!) will never cease to surprise me. The Monster that Ate East Texas indeed.

Why can’t these ministers and conservatives get together and oppose liberal socialists?

1. Because they are idiots.

2. Because both candidates are liberal socialists.
