"This is a pivotal time in the history of our country," Romney said at his political action committee's office. As the Republican Party searches for ways to rebound and find leaders it can turn to, Romney clearly is trying to position himself to be one of them.
Get bent, Myth!

Romney can call upon the deep military history of his family to assure us he’d be a better military leader.

Hey Mitt...did you buy your "Captian Obvious" uniform yet?
Quit trying to buy the presidency...it's not for sale...and you don't have the advantage of EEO.
We have been talking about obama's disregard for the troops for several months, and here in the middle of November Romney gets a brain fart and informs us of all the wrongs of Afghanistan.
Well, there's nothing like waiting for the outcome to make a prediction...that way you're always right.
Go back to sleep, mitt.

See, this is the residual effect of being the “big tent” party. You get guys like Romney in the fold and you can’t really truly get rid of them.
(well, I tend to be pessimistic, as it seems no matter how many times Romney gets pwn3d, he just won’t go away).

Who is going to protect us from Romney?
I know, the voters. Just like they protected us from Obama.
We're hosed if Romney comes anywhere near getting the GOP nomination for 2012.

Best line in the story is that thieving Mitt's
"
political action committee, Free and Strong America, has raised more than $2.6 million this year
(but only given out a paltry) $118,000 in contributions, according to financial records and the PAC."
Stingy Mitt the RINO.

Yep -- get lost, Mitt. You're the Eddie Haskell of the Republican party. Go try to snow some private boardrooms, where the damage you do will do less damage to us taxpayers and freedom-lovers.
Me, I'm on the verge of sending money to Marco Rubio and openly encouraging others to support his campaign against Charlie Crist in the upcoming Florida Republican primary for U.S. Senate. CONSERVATIVES NEED TO TAKE BACK THE REPUBLICAN PARTY -- the NY23 was the wake-up call.
This race is the next on the list, it seems to me. Do any FReepers know of any reason I shouldn't send money to Rubio and urge others to join me?

ROMNEY RESPONDS ON FACEBOOK!
"Our beloved Commander in Chief - whom by the way I can't wait to challenge on the basketball court - is doing a heckuva job. I call on my fellow Republicans to tone down their anger at the Commander in Chief, and allow him to lead our troops to victory. And again, I can't wait to meet the President one-on-one - on the basketball court in a inner-city neighborhood of his choosing. I'm a hacker by nature but I won't lay a glove on the man of the hour. Fist bump!"

Welcome Back, Dad
"I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd never see his like again because he was one of a kind. I was wrong! Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he's a she. And what a she! This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP. Welcome back, Dad, even if you're wearing a dress and bearing children this time around."
~Michael Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan

I wonder why CNN would give prominence to an attack on their Beloved Leader.
Could it be that they think it worth while, so they can promote Romney?
