Sorry I call them like I see them. You don't let your teenaged daughters be alone with boys. I know that hurts you and a lot of people on Free Republic.

Look I like Sarah Palin too. But I am beginning to think she is damaged goods. I am praying for her. I pray that she can overcome and I will vote for her when and if she runs.

The fact that you used curse words shows your lack self-control. You've been reported for abuse.

If Palin is the nominee I will strongly support her with money and everything else and I will encourage others to support her. This is a certainty.

However in my opinion if Palin is not going to greatly enhance her communications skills and radically change the perception of her very damaged picture outside the hardcore conservative base then she is not going to be the nominee. There are other Republican candidates who will destroy her in the debates. In this case even many of her supporters will know that she is not Presidential material.

Moreover I am going to bring a point that even here on FR it is a kind of a taboo. There are many people on our side and among independents who will not vote for a woman to be President. In fact I believe that a majority of women will not vote for a woman to be President.

IMO, regardless of Palin’s role in politics, she has to get this family stuff on the table so she can take it off.

Seriously folks, McCain is old news and history, I do not know why many are still so obsessed with him.

He will never be old news until he retires out to graze on green grass. He is the face of the GOP and their actions in picking and funding liberal republicans. Lord McCain has carried on a decades long adulterous affairs with the liberals and carry water none of them could ever lift to get their legislation passed through Congress.

This woman embraces TRUTH. She speaks what she believes to be TRUE, regardless of the implications.

Sarah could never revise history: HER ELDEST DAUGHTER GOT PREGNANT.

Damaging? All these accusations of being a bad mother were all part of OBAMA MACHINERY in 2008.

But thinking beyond, its shows Sarah's real character: A STRONG WOMAN WHO HAS THE COURAGE TO SPEAK TRUTHFULLY.

To rectify the past, one has to recognize and face the TRUTH. That's the first step for a BRIGHT, BETTER FUTURE.

As the old saying goes,

TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

I HATE LIARS, HALF LIARS, GLOSSY BUT LYING LIPS, AND ESPECIALLY TRUTH-EVADERS. These are the very kind of people who have destroyed the economy and the moral compass of this country.

Many Republican leaders are just like Democrats: If they make a mistake (or even corruption) ... their strategic solution is always limited to CLEAN the dirt, JUSTIFY, COMPROMISE, etc., INSTEAD OF ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR MISTAKE. The casualty? TRUTH. In turn, they commit more mistakes and mistakes.

I am happy that Sarah is truthfully acknowledging her family's defects and problems: A TYPICAL, IMPERFECT FAMILY BUT WITH A PROMISE OF BETTER FUTURE BECAUSE OF THE BOND CALLED ... LOVE.

As far as I'm concerned, her direct answer to the question IS DIRECTLY FROM THE HEART AND IS INDEED VERY PRESIDENTIAL TO ME.

But it's just me saying.

i think you fall victim to media propaganda of her. Whats wrong with her communication skills? You know she’s more articulate than Bush and comparable to Obama

"This woman embraces TRUTH. She speaks what she believes to be TRUE, regardless of the implications."

Well said, but there are those here that prefer a smooth talking politician to a genuine accomplished American. I'm tired of politicians that say what you want to hear but vote with the party whether it is right or wrong.

I am not falling for the media propaganda, that is my own opinion of her and my own judgment. There is not a single human on the planet who tells me how to think, what to think, how to form an opinion and how to make a judgment. I do not get my political opinion from anyone, not even conservative media, talk radio, or Free Republic.

Well, the DEM have majority women support for many election cycles. Nothing has changed.

Women are more emotional while men are more rational.
Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars
Liberals are from Venus, Conservatives are from Mars

As for Palin’s performance in debate. Have you seen her debates for Governor and against Biden? She definately up there with the “best”. She can hold her ground

As the (cough cough) Republican nominee last year he became the face and imagery of the GOP. Have you not paid attention to what Steele and Newt and the rest of the insiders have to project. Oh, but see now lord McCain has gone 'quiet' as he has an election in his home state to stage playing the part of a conservative...

Meanwhile he handed over to his sidekick Linny Graham the power of attorney, symbolically speaking, to keep his agenda alive and moving.

Anyone remember Mccain’s Convention Speech? Remind anyone of Grandpa Simpson anyone? It was sooo boring and he’s someone ppl/media don’t question about whether he have any brains yet Palin’s speech beat all expectation. One of the best political speeches and she’s treated like a dunce.

Think of Ronald Reagan, think of how he used to be treated. He was called the “amiable dunce”, B grade actor by the media

I am talking about the women in the Republican Party who I think a majority of them during the 2012 Presidential primaries are going to vote for the man candidate versus the woman candidate. That is my opinion. Time will tell.

I watched her debate with Biden, it was OK, but not that good. Cheney for example would have utterly destroyed Biden. Sarah Palin style of debate is to recite talking points and she cannot be creative and quick on her feet.

In short,

When I say I support Palin, I am very mindful of her family’s history.

The fact that her teen daughter got pregnant is just one of the few blots that “I” could slap on her face. Beyond that, NOTHING MUCH. After all, I’m not a single-issue voter. And Sarah’s daughter is not even in my list of issues for voting a President.

Romney’s RomneyCare plus Lying flipflops is beyond repair.
Huck’s previous bipartisanships in Arizona for raising taxes means that I can never trust him.

Records of Demint, Pawlenty, Barbour, Daniels, Jindal, etc. when it comes to economy are also full of moles, quite lackluster IMHO.

Let’s see if McDonnell can make wonders in Virginia.

Conclusion: SARAH PALIN 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah Palin doesn't have to follow the path of Paul Newman. He was an actor.

I am sick to death of the Palin-bashing happening on this web site.

She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.

Sarah is held to impossible standards by many of the very people who need her conservative voice so desperately to speak for their interests.

Oh, Ye Hypocrites!

You've got Obama communists destroying your country and you are trashing a wonderful voice speaking forthrightly against this evil and for your interests.

Conservative Palin-bashers don't deserve the gifts Sarah Palin brings to them.

Oh please. Darkwolf377 was not trashing or bashing Sarah Palin. He made a point about her judgments and whether she is Presidential material or not but he clearly stated that he admires her. His point and questions are very legitimate. He like many of us know exactly the extreme danger of Obama socialism and defeatism and we make our opinions very clear on these issues.

Now you know that this site is a majority of Palin supporters so do not play the poor victim role when someone say something about Palin that you do not like. Many of the Palin supporters are running on pure emotions and no logic at all when it comes to her. Be careful of building a Palin cult.

Sarah Palin doesn't have to follow the path of Paul Newman. He was an actor.

I didn't say she had to follow the path of Paul Newman. I said he was an example of someone who kept his private life private while being in the public spotlight.

I am sick to death of the Palin-bashing happening on this web site.

So my saying I am not sure if I think she'd be a good president is bashing? Even though I said I both like and admire her?

She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.

Meaningless.

Sarah is held to impossible standards by many of the very people who need her conservative voice so desperately to speak for their interests.

Since you've addressed this to me you must mean I'm doing this. I have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't held her to any "impossibly high standard." People are considering her as a presidential candidate. I have opined that I don't think she is of presidential caliber. That's all.

Oh, Ye Hypocrites!

Oh, Ye Drama Queens! ;)

You've got Obama communists destroying your country and you are trashing a wonderful voice speaking forthrightly against this evil and for your interests.

I have never trashed her.

Conservative Palin-bashers don't deserve the gifts Sarah Palin brings to them.

Sarah Palin doesn't "bring gifts" to anyone. The Cult of Personality is truly sickening. Sarah Palin has been an elected official with many ideas I agree with. I don't agree with some of them. That doesn't make me a basher, no matter how many times you say it in one post.

Thanks jveritas.

I don't see what the problem is with discussing these issues. If I were Palin, I wouldn't want to be surrounded by a pack of psychophants, ala Obama.
