Sergeant Howie: The Wicker Man. Where I first noticed his presence and unquestioned talent.

Breaker Morant: The film that put him and Bryan Brown on the map.

Robert McCall, The Equalizer: A role that he owned opposite ‘Control’ Robert Lansing and Mickey Kostemeyer.

Would have made a superb George Smiley if Sir Alec Guiness hadn’t jumped at the offer.

The world will be less colorful with Mr. Woodward’s passing.

Jack.

Breaker Morant was one of Ronald Reagan’s favorite movies. But I really liked Woodward as the Ghost of Christmas Past in the George C Scott version of A Christmas Carol.

"Robert McCall, The Equalizer: A role that he owned opposite ‘Control’ Robert Lansing and Mickey Kostemeyer."

Ronert Lansing was right and I also remember him in "12 O'clock High" But actually, "Mickey Kostemeyer" was the name of a character on the show. The actor who played Mickey was Keith Szarabajka

Yet I've got to tell you, I'm impressed. Although I recognized his character's name when you wrote it, I couldn't have told you the name of this character if I was at gunpoint! You must have been a real fan.
