Authorities Find Body of Missing 5-Year-Old North Carolina Girl Monday, November 16, 2009
SANFORD, N.C. — A missing 5-year-old whose mother was accused of offering her for sex was found dead off a heavily wooded road in a rural area Monday, ending a weeklong search, police said.
Searchers found Shaniya Davis' body southeast of Sanford, in central North Carolina, Fayetteville Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance told The Associated Press. Police did not say how she died.
"We were hoping that someone could carry her home," said Syd Severe, 42, a volunteer who came from Raleigh to help with the search. "It's just sick."
Two people have been charged in her disappearance, one of them her mother, Antoinette Davis, 25. Police charged Davis with human trafficking and felony child abuse, saying Shaniya was offered for prostitution. A first court appearance for Davis was scheduled Monday afternoon, and police said she did not yet have an attorney.

I saw the photo of the guy carrying her into the hotel room - cannot fathom the horror.
I do know that she went quickly into the arms of The Good Shepherd - the same Good Shepherd that died for what that man did to that little girl.

Mom was merely exercising her right to choose what kind of future her daughter would have. I mean, I personally wouldn’t turn my child into a sex slave, but I don’t want to impose my beliefs on other people.

She’d been in the news as a picture of her being carried into a hotel by some creep had been found by video cameras.
She looked so trusting, just an innocent. I hoped she’d be found alive.
This has been a Nancy Grace screamfest all last week. the mother reported the girl missing from her couch where she left here at 5:30 am in the morning. why she left her 5 yr old daughter on the couch is not clear.
then a neighbor found the child’s favorite blanket in her trashcan. It was allegedly covered in feces. again, why this was is not clear.
How the guy carrying the little girl got caught on film is not clear but I suspect Mama is confessing.
Adding to all this confusion, the mama lived with her sister. I think it was the sister’s boyfriend who ended up arrested and in jail for Shanya’s abduction. Then it turned out to be the mother’s boyfriend who took the child but I may have this backward.
Point being, somebody’s singing and it’s probably Mama. There’s waaaaaay more to this story then currently being reported, obviously.
what seems obvious is that Mama somehow sold that little girl to somebody, somehow. This whole thing is going to turn out to be some stupid, stupid plan which has Mama getting money for the little girl, the Mama’s boyfriend selling the kid to some pervert, the plan for Mama to report the child missing so somebody knew that child would be dead.
This is just so sickening.
Yes, I’d sometimes like it to read: “Let the punishment fit the crime.”

I read this bulletin when it first landed in my mailbox and just sat here stunned. I kept clicking the picture of the little girl’s face and seeing my own little girl, and I clicked on the mother’s face and just started crying and shaking with anger. I wanted to kill her with my bare hands.
What is happening to this country that such evil runs rampant with no end in sight?
Child molesters should be put down like mad dogs. NOTHING else should even be on the radar. That INCLUDES mothers like this. And I cannot even begin to rationalize any excuse whatsoever for this. Not drugs, not fear, not money, not anything. EVER.

If I had seen her in person when I first got this email, she’d have already gotten it. NOTHING enrages me more than harm come to a child. Nothing.
No there aren’t any limits, and it’s going to get worse. Innocent life is becoming more and more cheapened, perversion more and more accepted. As evil as this is, we ain’t seen nothing yet. When the Holy Ghost, “The Restrainer” is removed, all hell will literally break loose.
Drug addicts will do ANYTHING.
Of course it wasn’t very well thought out. The father, who admitted the child was the result of a one night stand, had custody of the little girl until recently. He said it looked like the mother had straightened out her life so he let her have custody again. Not sure how true all this is. The father is white and the little girl is obviously a mixed race child.
So right there we know the mama was a mess, probably so deep into drugs she didn’t know up from down. She arranged for this girl to be sold to somebody and that silly concocted story about being left on the couch to disappear an hour later was...well what else could it be? She knew that child would never be found again alive. This was premeditated murder, nothing less.
This is a woman who should be publicly marched to the waiting needle. Cause there’s nothing more heinous than what she did to that little girl. A serious lesson has to be given here.
Children are not little toys to be used, abused and killed as desired. This is why we have the death penalty, not just for mass murder.
This is SO sad! Last I saw of this story some lowlife took her to a hotel room and no sign of the girl was found at the hotel.
So her mother sold her to be exploited and GOD KNOWS WHAT and THEN KILLED.

Some things are just so heinous you can’t even wrap your mind around them. Strap momma in a guillotine face up so she can see the blade as it falls.

And our sorry excuse for a “justice” system not only won’t execute the sorry excuse for a mother, it won’t even sterilize her. She’ll be out in a few years (of the taxpayers paying her room and board) and repeat the process, with a new boyfriend.

Exactly right. This is just a retroactive abortion. Hell, the transportation costs to the hotel are probably covered under Obamacare.

We do and I hope we use it quickly.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of bleeding hearts who will STILL think these scumbags deserve to breathe, but this happened in the eastern part of the state near Fort Bragg, Camp LeJeune and several other military bases. Folks down there tend to be less forgiving of scumbags like these, so we may yet see them fry.
I cannot for the life of me understand what makes anyone have sexual thoughts about a child, much less a 5 year old child. But to have your own mother sell you to some scumbag to have his way with you and then murder you is beyond anything I have ever seen in my life.
Frankly, the best thing for these two is to HOPE for a speedy trial and a quick appeals process to send them on the the needle, because the longer they sit in jail, the more likely “prison justice” will be served. Come to think of it, that may be the best thing for them for a few years before sending them to the chamber.
I only wish they would be chained up to a log in the middle of one of the swamps down there and have both feet cut off and both hands cut off and left to let the critter take care of them nice and slow. After the father and his family have 30 minutes alone with each one with baseball bats.

First - I'll bet the mother is a democrat. Second, the death might have been an accidental kindness over the life the mother had chosen out for the victim. The child is back with God now - and she's protected and safe.
