Great, now there's a newer version of this in the WH - goes to show you that you can't teach an old (and senile) dog new tricks.

The mullah's released their hostages because they understood that, unlike his predecessor, the pacifist Carter, Reagan was going to hit the deck kicking ass and taking names.

I distinctly remember an Iranian official, all decked out in his finest mullah looking garb, with a shoebox containing the remains of one of our boys charred feet.

I was active Navy at the time, we cross-decked with the Nimitz before they went on their mission on our way back from a “med cruise”, the mighty Nimitz was involved big time in that debacle.

Word was that the Nimitz was being sent to the Indian ocean for an unbelievable 10 month deployment.

Diego Garcia was mentioned and we had no clue what was going on at the time. After it was said and done it really boiled down to carter hanging them out to dry in the desert of Iran, carter is scum.

Sure, thousands of THEM would’ve died and America would not have been bullied by worthless 3rd world banana republics before Ronald Reagan stepped in and showed Jimmuh what a leader should be.

Jimmuh should’ve gotten a job as a mid-level retail manager where he wouldn’t have to make the kind of decisions that a world leader has to. He was amateur night, Zero is now, and it’s downright terrible for the country.

I hate how liberal leaders are treated in this country. They lie and cheat through the election by an electorate that knows it. They don’t care. Just get him elected and he’ll BS his way through it. The media will make it rosy no matter how amateurish and idiotic. Jimmuh’s handling of the economy, like Zero’s now, isn’t their fault. The media tells us they’re doing a wonderful job in handling an inevitable situation, and it’s really sad how many people are buying that line of CRAP!

no regrets about his handling of the Iran hostage crisis
What handling? The crisis handled him.

“Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said Monday that he had no regrets about his handling of the Iran hostage crisis more than 30 years ago, saying he didn’t attack the country as his advisers proposed because thousands of people would have died.”

And how many have died since you didn’t do anything thirty years ago Mr. Carter? The answer is in the thousands.

“”Obviously, if I had rescued the hostages or they had not been taken, I would have been re-elected.”

Bullscoot! You were a total failure, not a single issue failure Mr. Carter. You would not have been reelected period.

He forgets about malaise and the misery index, high interest rates, job losses, etc.

It's not obvious that he would have been re-elected at all.

He is still as delusional as ever. Gawd, he was bad. BUT Obama is far worse. At least Carter had served in the Navy and new something, even if he was and still is a whiney lefty noodle sucker.

The Israelis know.Carter still gives good noodle.

"Obviously, if I had rescued the hostages or they had not been taken, I would have been re-elected."

LOL! Yeah right, a$$wipe. Perhaps you may recall the misery index, "No Gas My Ass" and malaise. Hmmmmm???

Allowing 8 of our finest to die and 52 other Americans to be held hostage for WELL over a year, humiliating them and our country while you assisted in the removal of the Shah and the coup by the islamofascist that continue to torture and murder dissidents had nothing to do with nuthin'. What a moron. Go away and STHU!

"There were no American hostages in Iran. Never! My feelings - as usual - we as an enlightened non violent people led by Carter the most merciful, praise be his name, had slaughtered them all, intellectually and through reason. I blame Fox News - they are marketing for the Americans!"

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said Monday that he had no regrets about his handling of the Iran hostage crisis more than 30 years ago, saying he didn't attack the country as his advisers proposed because thousands of people would have died...

Whoever said hindsight is 20/20 never met Jimmy Carter.

"I don't have any doubt that was the main factor in my defeat," Carter told reporters in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai, where he was helping build houses for Habitat for Humanity. "Obviously, if I had rescued the hostages or they had not been taken, I would have been re-elected."

Jimmy can say what he wants to the MSM because they're in the tank for RATs anyway. Those of us who witnessed it are still pretty angry.

Jimmy ran for office instructing us that we were being too "provocative" in relation to the USSR, that if we stopped pointing weapons at them they would stop trying to take over governments.

Jimmy Carter enabled the takeover in Tehran of the Ayatollahs.

They thanked him by taking over the embassy and leaving 52 hostages in captivity for 444 days.

He micromanaged the one military action attempted, which resulted int he loss of more lives.

He was weak, and the Ayatollahs knew it.

The hostages were released, I believe, just before RR was sworn in, because RR made it clear he wouldn't be playing pattycake with them.

Jimmy Carter is a smug, sanctimonious POS. He is certainly the worst President of my lifetime and definitely in the running for the worst ever.

By Carter's logic, we shouldn't have attacked Japan after Pearl Harbor because thousands of people would have died.

Alzheimer's or Insanity, Carter is beyond help.

I wonder if he defends GIVING AWAY the Panama Canal too. I believe China now operates it (under contract) which comes in handy for them should they decide to sabotage it and render us militarily powerless in a time of war.

Carter?

Carter Who?

Wasn't there an inept, unprofessional, niave (sp?), lacking in common sense, former president with that name?

If this is the same person, why is he being given any press time? He's certainly not improved over the years.

Maybe it's time he stuck with his peanuts; he'll get all the trouble with them he's capable of handling.
