NO, she hasn’t announced. But it seems “official” to me. Hannity said some time back a source had told him she would run. And the wh has been pushing Patterson not to run. That’s why he’s turned on O concerning Gitmo trials.
You’re right Miss Didi about the leadership. No doubt they’re selling Obama as a sage leader whose feet we can only hope to kiss. You and I don’t disagree. And the media will only promote those voices that fit the mold.
But I think it’s important for Conservatives to recognize the rifts in the other side when they exist ... and to capitalize on those rifts. This is a classic Jimmy Carter moment. Many rank and file Dems don’t agree with the leadership on these trials.
As usual, the media will use bogus polls, manufactured consensus, and the ‘air of inevitability’ to promote Obama’s decision. But I think they’re over-reaching on this one. This is a visceral issue with the people.
Do you think Paterson is taking this stand because he’s principled, or because he feels which way the wind is blowing?
Honestly, I have no idea what Paterson is up to. Perhaps he realizes that he has no chance of re-election with Andy Cuomo breathing down his neck. Let’s hope he’s sick of Barry and Co. and is doing the right thing for once.
