AP Turns Heads for Devoting 11 Reporters to Palin Book 'Fact Check'
Fox ^ | 11/17/09 | Robert Shaffer

Sarah Palin is no normal politician, and at the Associated Press, apparently "Going Rogue" is no normal book.

When the former Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska governor wrote her autobiography, the AP found a copy before its release date and assigned 11 people to fact check all 432 pages.

The AP claims Palin misstated her record with regard to travel expenses and taxpayer-funded bailouts, using statements widely reported elsewhere. But it also speculated into Palin's motives for writing "Going Rogue: An American Life," stating as fact that the book "has all the characteristics of a pre-campaign manifesto."

Palin quickly hit back on a Facebook post titled "Really? Still Making Things Up?"

"Imagine that," the post read. "11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to 'fact check' what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hasan's associations, etc. Amazing."

I guarantee, the AP didn't devote one reporter to “fact checking” Obama’s story when he was running.

More the better. In 3 years it will become obvious even to the most brainwashed idiot socialism never works. Palin will win in a landslide even bigger than Reagan.

The media is just such a joke, no comment is needed. Just look at the ratings. America is not stupid.

Where the hell were these boneheads on Obama's bibles? Criminy the bias is sickening these days.

Palin critics suffer from a common weakness, and it’s really kind of silly: they’re unable, from the liberals to the Krauthammer-types, to target her policies. All they can come up with is small-caliber sarcasm, smear tactics disguised as sincere analysis, or the absurd “she’s not ready” claim.

Now, I can understand trolls on websites like this one avoiding substantive attacks on Palin. Limited to the behavioral patterns of their species, they must pretend to agree with conservative principles.

But in the general media, there seems to be no substantive rebuttal of her political ideas. This is a political figure many in the media have labeled “the most polarizing figure of our time.” Yet somehow they can’t figure out a way to analyze, or perhaps to understand, her policies.

Are Palin critics really that empty-headed?

Wow, 11 people assigned to a book written by a supposed (by the left) political has been who killed her political career by resigning. LOL!

She sure does have them scared. Obama is falling and Palin is rising, and both are happening fast and furious!

At least five of the AP’s fact checkers came back with nothing. This type of failure could end their careers.

The reason they're trying to find fault with Sarah is that they are afraid of her 'armor' (the truth as best we know it) and are trying to put a chink, in it.

This is probably not the best time to type: Hellro?

The AP really stepped in to it this time! The AP just raised the bar on what we all should expect out of them going forward when they cover any important issues. If they don’t we have this to hit them with. Where are the 11 reporters on this? Where are the 11 reporters on that? Fun, fun, fun!

A personal note to the so-called “fact checkers”. Please resign immediately so as to retain some semblance of personal integrity, you ghouls.

The AP pink slipped a bunch again today or yesterday. I wonder if they got their holiday bonuses on their way out?

Isn’t it refreshing to know, that the Associated Press is capable of thoroughly researching public figures? Imagine the possibilities.

The AP is garbage. They badly deserve serious competition. However, with newspapers going downhill, they’re losing their market.
