Where was the ACLU when Nidal Hasan subjected numerous U.S. Army personnel to religious messages? (Long before he decided to shoot the troops, that is.)

I think the ALCU needs to re-read the Constitution. The Constitution prevents the Gov't from creating a state sponsored church; it explictly forbids the Gov't from exercising an infaction of the free practicing of worship.

I have yet to attend a non-Military graduation, where attendance was manditory.

Can the ACLU be sued? Or does it take an act of congress to deal with the organization? They have become very oppressive to christians.

Can someone please point out where in the Constitution there is a right to be free from “religous messages”? I’m pretty sure the Fed is not involved here and my understanding the Constitution limits the Feds power it does not enumerate our rights (or non-rights if you are the ACLU).

This should get taken all the way to the SCOTUS so this crap can end forever.

Good Lord. Um, so to speak.

It seems to me that if an atheist attends a graduation ceremony in a church and is thereby enticed into the eeeeevil clutches of Jesus, his atheism was pretty weak to begin with.

What does “Congress shall make no law” have to do with this, with school prayer, with high school football games, etc.?

These people are insane, but people keep giving into them because they have deep pockets. They have the same mind set as a old maid who makes you take off your shoes and put on slippers when you walk through the door.

“The Constitution prevents the Gov’t from creating a state sponsored church...”

And what does that look like when it is happening?

The word limit is 300. If you exceed the limit, your submission will be rejected until you trim it to the appropriate length. I usually past a fair chunk and then reduce it as need be.

No I wouldn’t also the Mosque would likely object to me. I don’t see where it’s relevant to the Constitution or Federal Government. That would be between the students and the school.

if the ACLU did this against another religion, they would be considered a hate group.
