CARNEY ANNOUNCES TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Four Listening Tour Town Hall meetings to be held Monday and Tuesday

All Invited to Attend

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Christopher P. Carney has announced four Listening Tour Town Hall Meetings for Monday and Tuesday to be held in Susquehanna, Pike, Wyoming and Bradford counties. He will be available to discuss issues affecting our community, including actions Congress is taking to reform our health care system, help our economy and support our veterans. In addition, Congressman Carney will have staff on hand to help with casework issues, including veterans’ benefits, Social Security and Medicare payments.

“Listening to the people of Pennsylvania’s 10th District is a responsibility I take very seriously as their representative in Congress,” said Congressman Carney. “Every year, I hold town hall meetings in each of the district’s 14 counties, events that provide me with an opportunity to not only meet constituents but hear their concerns and take their questions. I look forward to meeting constituents on Monday and Tuesday.”

Following the successes of the listening tours of the last two years, Congressman Carney has already held town hall events in seven counties in 2009.

Below are details about the four town hall events:

SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY TOWN HALL MEETING WHERE: Susquehanna County Courthouse, 11 Maple St., Montrose, Pa. WHEN: Monday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.

PIKE COUNTY TOWN HALL MEETING WHERE: Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, Pa. WHEN: Monday, Nov. 23, 4 p.m.

If anyone wants to do a public service, organize an effort to ask him the question in the second update here:

http://24ahead.com/ask-janet-napolitano-questions-washington-dc-friday-november

It’s slightly a stretch since the question was originally for someone else, but it can be slightly modified for others.

Get his answer on video, and then upload it to Youtube. There’s video already on Youtube from the NRCC of them asking him a stupid, “did you read the bill” question, but what I have in mind is a bit more intense. The goal in this case would be to really put him on the spot and force him into pressuring Napolitano to enforce the law.

Two of the three in courthouses? Afraid the CCW crowd might show up armed?
