According to Al Gore "the interior of the earth is extremely hot - several million degrees" when in fact the temperature at the core maybe only as high as 7000 degrees Celsius (The Worldbook Encyclopedia. Chicago: Worldbook, 1999: 20-21).
Would someone please get AlGore his pipe and slippers, and take away his SUV and Private Jet keys? Thank you.
I can’t believe this moron is the head cheerleader for the hyperbolic global warming crusade. Why can’t saner minds in his party take over and promote intelligent ideas like conservation of resources, prudent use of money, and planning for one’s own future.
Pipe and slippers? How about a straitjacket and a padded room.
I suppose it depends on what scale you are using. Perhaps he has created his own, the Gore scale.
So which is it Al? Isn't the core the interior? Wouldn't the core be hottest?
And millions of degrees? If I remember right back to my 1966 science class, a nuclear bomb is about that temperature. Are you sayiong we're living on top of a thermo-nuclear reaction?
Al, I'm so confused.
What in the universe is ‘several million degrees’ Farenheit or Centigrade?
I think it’s about where I want the grill when I pop a steak on there.
Another proof that Algore is a mere pseudo-scientist and doesn’t have a clue.
Those “science” courses Algore took were the kind of sloppy survey courses they cook up so people too dumb and lazy to take real science courses like chemistry, physics, biology, geology, etc. can meet the distribution requirements.
How many reporters is AP going to assign to fact check spotted al’s book? My guess is somewhere between zero and none.
Add: Gore did not invent the internet.
***Why cant saner minds in his party take over and promote intelligent ideas like conservation of resources, prudent use of money, and planning for ones own future.***
Because then there would be no need for government interferance in everyone’s lives.
What a criminal thug...
You can tell he’s enlightened because he used the term “kilometer”. Only those who have traveled the world and are on a higher intellectual plane understand such things—I’m sure the audience was so impressed with him using the term “kilometer”.
