Rudy’s no conservative, but he’s fairly libertarian - and that’s okay with me.

I’m a fan of Rudy and I hope he does well in this election.

One more time. Electing liberals will not help to advance conservatism. Period!

Giuliani's position on the WOT is no different then Joe Lieberman's but I wouldn't vote for Joe anymore then I'd vote for Rudy. Any politico who can't bring themselves to defend the most vulnerable and innocent in our society -— the unborn -— doesn't deserve to be elected dog catcher. Making the Giuliani versus McCain comparison is a red herring. Hate McCain if you like. Just don't think for a minute that using his record makes Giuliani look better. Its dosen't!

Would FR survive another Rudyite purge?

Oh, don't do that. There's lots to support in Rudy (certainly not everything) and that would just be counterproductive. He has a sharp political mind that comes down on the right side quite a bit but is socially a New Yorker.

“My motto (For immediate release to the PRESS):

Palin/Giuliani 2012
Why? Cause F*ck you MSM, that’s why!”

I love that motto and I could take that ticket in either order.

A more fiscally conservative Lieberman, if you will...

I would vote for Rudy over Hillary. Yes, he should have ran against her. I would also vote for Rudy over Dems. But I am no fan of his.

Giuliani is a POS and he should be kicked to the curb where all the crap belongs!

Remember: Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

Can Pataki run for NY Gov. again? He served two previous terms, but so did Jerry Brown in CA, who’ll probably run again.

He definitely has RINO blood, but I can’t imagine him supporting Obamacare, or Cap and Tax...

Rudy is not exactly a gun grabber. Is realistic.
May not agree with a few of his domestic views but we don’t
have tht luxury now, if we don’t win the war, the rest is all moot.

In a February 2007 Sean Hannity interview, he said that “[The right to carry a handgun] is part of the Constitution. People have a right to bear arms,” and that while tough gun-control laws were needed in New York City, “in another place, more rural, more suburban ... you have a different set of rules
Giuliani has also stated that decisions regarding concealed carry laws should be left to the states.

“No, I’d vote for whoever the Conservative party ran. “

Conservative Party will nominate Guliani so guess the question is moot.

What Republican would you support to run for the senate in 2010 in New York? Someone that can win statewide. I’m curious to know.

Giuliani is a POS

I am aware of this sentiment on FR. I am not interested in fighting about him, he belongs to NY. Today is the first day that I heard something about some opposition to guns. I don't like the sound of that. Having lived in "hollywood" I don't get too upset about his cross-dressing SNL-type sense of humor. I don't know where he is on abortion.

SO, there's my full take on Rudy. I'd be interested in what you know especially about his position on guns.

Giuliani has also stated that decisions regarding concealed carry laws should be left to the states.

If this is the worst then I have little problem with that. If you declare urban new york city as a war zone then in LIMITED ways I could see a TEMPORARY crackdown in SPECIFIC neighborhoods to basically allow cops to arrest the bad guys in those areas but this is really stretching the constitution as far as I could possibly go.

I like how Rudy fights intellectually. He is a prosecutor and a warrior. He is also a goofball at times. I kinda like him though maybe not for POTUS. It would depend on the opposition candidate.

Thanks for the info.

It’s come to this: Rudy - the knight in shining armor.

At this point the ony person I’d vote for for governor or senator is a guy in NY’s 23rd who is bucking all of them and is not finished fighting!
