Breaking news! The Shaniya Davis cause of death is asphyxiation and the autopsy revealed that the little five year old girl was raped. Mario Andrette McNeill has been charged with rape and first degree murder in addition to first degree kidnapping charges. A live press conference was held tonight at 8:00 p.m. and the additional charges were made public. (click here to view a slideshow from the Shaniya Davis case)

Reports state that Mario McNeill has remained in isolation since he surrendered to authorities on November 13, 2009, after being seen carrying Shaniya Davis in his arms in a hotel. Police say they do not believe that Shaniya Davis was killed inside the hotel.

They need to turn this guy out in the general prison population for 5 minutes. He won’t survive.

No it is our duty as a civilized country to sentence these monsters to death and to carry it out quickly and without pomp. To walk away from our responsibility as a country and use thugs for our “dirty work” is reprehenible. I as a citizen am willing to bear my responsiblity for a fair trial and if warrented, imediate execution.

That’s what I mean about there being no “justice” in our justice system.

How long will it take to bring these devoids to trial?

Then, if convicted, how long will it take before they are, hopefully (McNeil at least) executed?

Unless something changes - in NC = it will be FOREVER before such justice prevails.... (see post above)

You are so right! Every account of Shaniya is that she was a joyful, delightful, little child. Then there is this that is listed as her "mother" = biologically speaking only....she is MONSTER, not mother.

In NC, there is a death penalty - but it is “on hold” because of the fact that the NC legislature passed a law requiring a doctor to be present at the execution - and the doctors are refusing to do it because of their oaths.

Makes about as much sense as making sure to use sterile needles for lethal injection.

How about just putting him feet first into a wood chipper instead?

One minute with the natural mother, and anyone could see she was a crack whore. The father didn’t check and didn’t give it thought that his daughter was in danger. He needs to be shedding tears. He ought to be in seclusion instead of on TV blathering.
