Publisher HarperCollins said Friday that Sarah Palin's memoir sold 300,000 copies its first day, among the best openings ever for a nonfiction book. In 2004, Bill Clinton's "My Life" debuted with sales of 400,000 copies. The year before, Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Living History" started at 200,000.

"Going Rogue" was released this week and its print run already has been increased from 1.5 million copies to 2.5 million, HarperCollins announced Friday.

Bill’s was probably purchased in large lots to give away.

“Bill’s book deal was a straigh payoff- o was hiLIARy’s”

What do you mean by that?

Has Harper Collins “officially” announced this 300,000 figure? The only mention of it that I have seen thus far was in a post of an article from the Daily Beast in which the writer of the article used the old “un-named source” who gave him this number. It seems to me that it is possible that the 300,000 is not correct and could be higher. Has anyone seen any other documentation?

Sarah Palin was in Rochester, NY today for a book signing. The place was rockin'! The lefty D&C article on it highlighted the lefty protestors showing up. Check out the comments for some of the moonbat's bleatings!

Protesters arrive as Palin's appearance nears

Typical how a lefty fish wrapper like the D&C highlight the moonbats, while they totally ignored the 9/12 March on Washington DC and "Operation Can You Hear Us Now?".

Seems I remember that Bill's book had a forced buy by the unions or something. Some kind of controversy, but can't remember exactly.

It’s only a matter of time until a moonbat does something stupid.

Of course, the MSM will blame Palin...

The number is probably higher than 300,000.

As a presidential biography BC’s bio was ordered by every public and school library in the country in multiple copies. How many libraries have ordered Sarah’s book?

Sarah’s success reminds me that some of the lib “strategy 2012” posts I’ve read may not be so far fetched. The general idea is that BigO knows that he can’t win against Sarah given his track record of incompetence, corruption and how he’s bankrupted our country.

The only opposition the left has who hasn’t been a huge part in this health care fiasco is Hillary Clinton (notice how quiet she and her ilk have been since the election?). The left thinks that Hillary will play well in the press (HA!!!!) verses Sarah and the deal is made to have BigO withdraw in the primary and throw in his support for Hillary. He’s then paid off with the VP slot to keep all of his supporters on board the socialist train to hell.

I thought that the whole idea was incredibly short sighted given BigO’s huge ego but the more success Sarah has on her own, the more this makes a twisted sort of sense to me. He doesn’t want to be a one term president so he hides out as Hillary’s VP for as many years as she lasts and then resumes command.

What would this country look like after 4 years of BigO, 8 years of Hillary, then 4 more of Obama? Noplace I want to live!
