The publication of more than 1,000 private e-mails that climate change skeptics say proves the threat is exaggerated has prompted one key Republican senator to call for an investigation into their research.
In an interview with The Washington Times on Monday, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) announced he would probe whether the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) "cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time of course we knew it was not."
However, it is not immediately clear what Inhofe hopes to accomplish with his proposed hearing. U.S. lawmakers and scientists routinely cite IPCC evidence when discussing climate change legislation, but Congress can hardly force the United Nations to halt spending on a program over which it has no jurisdiction.
Rather, Inhofe perhaps hopes to deal a symbolic blow to next month's climate change conference, at which IPCC is likely to play a major role.

That line really pisses me off the more I read it. The UN IPCC has taken studies funded by US TAXPAYERS as well as the Brits and others and used them to form the basis for the IPCC reports. As such US scientists do not just CITE IPCC evidene, they are in large part RESPONSIBLE for producing it. The Mann ‘hockey stick’ which was exposed as a fraud was created by a University Professor for the US. He doesn’t cite the IPCC, it is the other way around!!
Before we raise taxes and put these Global Warming guys in charge, shouldn’t we find out who they are and what their “work” entails?
Maybe the Inventor of the Internet (sarcasm intended), Al Gore the Magnificent has some explaining to do. If public money was taken and false statements made to the Government. Can criminal charges be filed? If Data was falsified is that not a crime? When public money is involved?
If they colluded to defraud the Government can they be charged with Conspiracy? Wire and mail fraud? It is time to turn up the heat (pun fully intended) on the Global Warming Con.
The tone is just to make Inhofe look like he’s off the rails.

In any case, as real scientists unpack the "data" and re-do the analyses and correlate it all to arrogant incriminating emails, the story will emerge in all its squalid glory--the greatest scientific fraud in history.
If these people knew they cooked the data and then testified to Congress, could they be charged with perjury?
It’s one thing to gripe and complain about these things and disagree with it, but it’s quite another to convince your friends and neighbors and relatives and coworkers...
THEREFORE..., it’s also absolutely necessary for people to know the information in the following documentary. If there were simply one video that you could see and/or show people you know... this would be the one...
