End Affirmative Action, End the Black Upper Class: The Case of Law
The Occidental Observer ^ | Richard Hoste

Posted on 11/24/2009 12:45:52 AM PST by ventanax5

It was with great interest that I read Christopher Donovan’s TOO article on politically incorrect comments at a blog for the lawyerly elite. The field of law prides itself on being a meritocracy. Being made up of educated Westerners, it is also very liberal on racial issues. It’s hard to be both.

The two main academic factors considered in law school admissions are GPA and more importantly, the prospect’s score on the LSAT. Grades aren’t a very good indicator of skill since students choose their own majors, which of course vary in difficulty. That leaves the LSAT as the main determinant of what law schools a student is eligible for. The test is divided into four parts. Three are different forms of reading comprehension, and one is made up of logical games. The latter part gives the student 35 minutes to answer around 28 questions, broken up into four games. Many students don’t even finish three of the four. The LSAT requires no previous knowledge and the only thing that significantly helps improve scores is taking time to learn strategies for the games. It still takes intelligence to know quickly what kind of game you’re looking at, be able to accurately comprehend directions (if (a) then (b) doesn’t necessarily mean if (b) then (a)), make logical inferences (if (a) then (b) and if (b) then not (c) implies that if (a) then not (c)), etc.

Quite clearly, the LSAT is a barely-disguised IQ test. Those interested can try the June 07 test here. Mensa takes anybody who scores at the 95th percentile or above.

Jeez. Put that way, it’s even worse than I imagined.

And everybody, of course, knows it. No wonder Barack and Michelle are so twisted and rageful. They’ve spent their entire adult lives knowing they’re quota queens. I wonder how much behind-the-back snickering and resentful glares they’ve endured over the years.

Think of how insulting it is to the truly capable,to be automatically lumped in with slime bags like offspring of moose and evil.

Affirmative action is one of those liberal ideas that sound good but don’t work out as well as they sound. Like being low on gas and driving faster to get to the station before you run out of gas. For liberals it’s all about intent, never results. They just don’t understand the difference between equal opportunity and equal outcome.

Referring to whites as “ice peoples” was a tip off. Checking “Home” I note the racial slant of the website, and the prism through which it views the issue.

“The Occidental Observer will present original content touching on the themes of white identity, white interests, and the culture of the West.”

That is normally a code for nazi and KKK fronts.

From Wiki:

“”The journal is published by the Charles Martel Society (not to be confused with France’s anti-Algerian Charles Martel Group),[2] named in honor of Charles Martel, who halted a Muslim invasion of Europe at the Battle of Tours in 732.

They explicitly reject neoconservatism and call for a “third school” to emerge from paleoconservatism in the form of an ideology of Western European identity politics, and holds that the American political order of freedom and liberty is under ethnic and ideological threat. Its foreign policy positions, broadly, are anti-immigration with the exception of those from other industrialized Western nations, and isolationism, including the rejection of influence from Israel and Mexico on U.S. politics.””

So it seems they want to save us from all non-aryans, and especially the jews. Affirmative action has devolved into an undemocratic scandal, but maybe a little more care should be taken in whom we embrace when discussing the problem.

Quote from The Affirmative Action Hoax,
“Diversity is the most insidious and pernicious of all defenses of discrimination. The other justifications assume that discrimination is a necessary evil, a temporary expedient that is needed to produce a society in which race and ethnicity are irrelevant. Diversity assumes that discrimination is an unqualified good and that it should be perpetual.”

Amazon reviewer: ‘I recommend this book to all, even ‘people of color’- whatever that may mean!’

What is so destructive about the way affirmative action is implemented (besides the obvious notion of inferiority it confers on the recipient) is that the “token” that should be in a 2 year school is admitted to a state school, where they quickly realize they are VERY far behind; the same person who should be in a state school is admitted to Harvard, with the same results. In the end, they often don’t finish, or major in some silliness just to get a degree, but they know themselves that they are VERY far behind, and it effects them.

Dig a little deeper and you’ll find a lot more of that. These people seem a little smarter than most but it’s still wild eyed paranoia and suspicion of them thar Jews.

They just don’t understand the difference between equal opportunity and equal outcome.

Pretty much the same bit of logic mentioned in the article about the LSAT; if (a) then (b) doesn’t necessarily mean if (b) then (a). Liberals confuse cause and effect because they fundamentally don't see the world as a physical reality, but see it in terms of a small child's desire... the world is what they want it to be.

Sure they do. They just prefer equality of outcome, no matter how unfair.

“For liberals it’s all about intent, never results”

Why should a doctor or lawyer's son or daughter who happens to be black get preference over the son or daughter of a coal miner who happens to be white and scores higher on an admissions test? This intuitively seems backasswards.

Thomas Sowell has often pointed out that these elite universities are doing black applicants a great disservice in that the odds of graduation drop significantly as opposed to going to a more appropriately matched school to their intellectual capabilities. This disservice also extends to the qualified individuals who were denied admissions despite higher scores on admissions tests.

So what you end up with are a significant number of black applicants who are selected for admissions that will never graduate at elite universities , an elite universities admissions staff patting itself on the back for how “inclusive” they are, and numerous qualified non blacks who are being turned away to further this charade.

the LSAT is a racist exam

that’s what this proves

any statistics derived from a discussion of LSAT scores is inherently racist

everyone knows that race quotas are not allowed

that’s why every loan application, job application etc asks for your race

get over it

i am white, male, 60+

i am a racist, male chauvinist, ageist, jerk

come and get me, Kopper.!

Personally, I see very little wrong with that.

What ideology and ethnic majority built the U.S. to what it was? Since the initiation of "diversity" what has happened to the U.S.?

Diversity is based on the root "diverse" which, in the case of socio-economics, means separate. We live as divided peoples because of diversity not in spite of it.

As for "immigration" there is no country on earth that is more open than us. That, too, has gotten us into trouble. We accept people regardless of their beliefs and loyalties. Today's "immigrants" don't have a loyalty to the U.S. They are here to make money.

As far as Israel and messyco why SHOULD they have a say in our politics? Why should any country have a say in our politics? That is another path to destruction: Allowing foreign policy to influence our own.
