American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert won't be appearing on "Good Morning America" tomorrow.

TVNewser has learned ABC News canceled the concert after Lambert's sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards Sunday night. Lambert led men on leashes, dragged a woman by her foot, and smashed a man's head into his crotch, all while singing his new single "For Your Entertainment."

ABC, which aired the awards show, received about 1,500 phone calls from people complaining about the performance, a number ABC calls "moderate."

An ABC News spokesperson tells TVNewser, "given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."

Lambert performed as part of GMA's summer concert series in August, and it was in a "20/20" interview that Lambert came out, telling Chris Connelly, "I am gay, and I'm very comfortable with it."

did a search and didn't see it.

Sexually charged.

That would be a euphemism for “depraved,” right?

Lambert is acting like a washed up Madonna who feels she has to be over the top sexually to get any attention. Most people find it disgusting and would prefer keeping raunchy sex out of the performance. Adam really does not need to do this and it was a huge mistake.

The song “For Your Entertainment”?

With men on leashes and putting their head in his crotch, sounds like it’s more for his entertainment than ours.

I dont know the guy but it looks like he is more worried about getting his ashes perversely hauled than making a success of himself.

1,500 calls are moderate for them evidently. yet they still cancel the show. would love to see what a heavy response would bring!

Is that the only reason they don't want to air it?

When I first started reading the article, I thought they were beginning to elevate their standards!

My good feelings for ABC evaporated once the article was fully read!

Yes, but DirectTV cost less.

Depraved is right. Welcome to the Monkey House!

I remember as a kid my first visit to the Monkey House at Prospect Park Zoo. I was distressed by the behavior of these weird creatures. They were swinging from bars, jumping on and off each other, sniffing behinds and smelling crotches. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Fast forward to the American Music Awards...same-o same-o. Males and females in scanty attire swinging from and gyrating around bars...heads in crotches...jumping up and down and all around. All they lacked were tails.

Welcome to the Monkey House, 2009!

If you give good, talented performances, you can get away with a wide range of “cutting edge” numbers.

Unfortunately for Lambert, in this case his performance was awful. Whatever charisma he might have had during Idol, he’s lost it since then.

But Good Morning America supports perversion.

Maybe because he isn’t a homosexual?

Who picks up the phone and calls anymore? They don't post the number of emails and texts.
