If they are born on US soil they can be president. Dukakis spouted about being the son of Greek immigrants and all that.

You can still be a Greek immigrant and a naturalized citizen. Were they?

Look, go up to the top of the forum page to the search box, type in "birthcertificate"

There are hundreds of threads going back over a year, and many containing thousands of posts. There are Constitutional scholars and paid White House trolls there duking it out. Go read it.

Also read the federalist papers and you can see the intent of the founders. They exempted themselves as they were not natural born, but wanted people with allegiance to no other nation as president. Natural born had a was a term of art at the time and they assumed you would look it up if you didn't know.

I'll take the original intent of the founding fathers over the "if it feels good do it" interpretation of president Do cacas any old day.

Here, go read this thread, it’s up right now.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2394953/posts

It has the Keyes accusing Obama of not being natural born and Obama saying “So what, I’m running for the Sentate, not president.

Also the original definition of “natural born”

There are two conditions for being a natural born citizen: born on the soil of the country and born of citizen parents. If Dukakis’s parents had been United States citizens at the time of his birth (they likely were as they’d been here about 10 years prior to his birth, so they had probably become naturalized by then, but I’d have to verify that) then he was a natural born United States citizen. Being born on U.S. soil, in and of itself, is not sufficient to make one a natural born U.S. citizen.
