Obama himself is a victim of his own delusions. He’s a typical academia-type leftist who thought he knew all the answers and is finding out he knows next to nothing. At least I hope so. If he at least would come to the realization that he’s not nearly as smart as he thought he was, he might make some progress. But my feeling is Obama is such a unrenerate leftist, he’ll plow ahead with his nutty plans. For example the decision to try KSM in a public criminal trial. We may have just seen the tip of the iceberg as far as his screwball schemes.

I have one hope. The myth-makers are slowly, inexorably being taken down, inch by inch, story by story, bias by bias. The new media is there for all those who will partake of it. Conservative talk radio, Fox News and the Internet--blogs, forums ,etc, have been phenomenal in this regard.
The MSM continues to bleed out. While this new media has the danger associated with it that you describe; becoming the new myth-makers, and causing their listeners/readers to being nodding, parroting believers; at this time the new media offers point-counterpoint to those past and current myths that the old myth-makers have thrust upon us, and to those that can think, the disparity is striking. That is why the MSM is losing so much.
And one other thing that has really become apparent this year, 2009: The liberal left wing policies and ideals are getting full exposure, and proving to the rank and file just how stupid and dangerous they are. It is the one silver lining in the dark cloud of November, 2008. Like the Carter years before, it focuses all of our attention on they way the MSM tries to steer us as being wrong, and their myth as being ridiculous.

think of it. Put a man in a position he has no experience in and this is what you get. A bumbling, stumbling failure. The man never even had a real job.

And journalist friends are aghast at Obama's decision to have Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, the self-confessed Al Qaeda terror mastermind and four of his most obnoxious associates, treated as ordinary criminals and put on trial in an ordinary civil court in New York, a state which has abolished the death penalty... Part of the blame must be assigned to the buyers themselves for their failure to examine the goods offered and, in some cases, reaching for the shelf blindfolded. Then there is the fact that many people picked Obama because they wanted to feel good about themselves and the US in general...Thanks sukhoi-30mki.

That is so funny. Thats exactly what I was thinking about yesterday. My normally sycophantic brother who was so in love with Obama not 8 months ago didn’t say a single thing about his liberal politics. Not one. THAT speaks volumes right there.

I have two sons. One is a hard working young engineer who is ferociously Republican. The other is a lazy party-hearty college student who is pro-Obama. The Republican was relentless on Thanksgiving mocking and denouncing Obama, while the immature spawn kept quiet for once.
I predict from this microcasm of America, a 44% approval on Rasmussen Tuesday AM.
I had heard that too, especially during and after that incident with his professor-friend! His rating w/them did take a bit of a knock, not a lot, but more than I thought it would!
