Noticed something interesting with your chart. When I had the swine flu, I ran a fever for 4 days, and went back and forth between sweats and chills, headaches and ached so abd all over, had the cough, then later the coughs became productive, after that I started getting a sore throat and my ear hurt, that's when I went to the doctor, though they told me to stop at the entrance and get a mask. Bronchitis, though it started out as swine.
I had a fever while I was at the office. They gave me a prescription. Fine, then two days after the prescription ran out, the sore throat returned, had that for 2 weeks, and now the sore throat is gone, but the other crud is coming back. :(
I just found the sore throat interesting and would explain why it comes and goes.

Some get the vomiting and diarrhea and some don't. I didn't.

Sure, laugh now until you’re the one who ends up in the hospital. My little niece and nephews were just released from the hospital. My 5 year old nephew’s lung collapsed from it.

If you’re suffering from a chronic lung disease, then you’re not a candidate for the flu mist vaccine. It also isn’t for people over 50.
To: autumnraine
Yeah, they were giving out the nasal mist vaccine at our school. I didn’t like the sound of it so our kids didn’t get it. Hope we made the right decision.

I never said I got the flu from my shot. I got the shot three weeks ago. I am saying if I have ‘the flu’, the regular seasonal flu, I should be IMMUNE! What’s the point of getting vaccinated if you still end up with a flu strain and I know it’s not guaranteed. I get vaccinated for the flu every year. In early 2007, I got the flu anyway, but it wasn't as bad as previous times I have had the flu. Even if the flu shot isn't a perfect match for the variants being spread around, it often is close enough to confer partial immunity and decrease the severity of the flu if you get infected.
To: autumnraine
Oh, goody! Everyone in the nation that wants a swine flu shot can fly to O'Hare, the nation's most crowded airport. Brought to you courtesy of Obamacare™.

Are you sure they give the mist to people 50 ish? I thought it was only for the very young. 12 and under or so.
To: ViLaLuz
To be qualified you have to be pregnant, and under 18 or have a chronic health condition, like diabetes, asthma, compromised immune system etc.

Are you sure they give the mist to people 50 ish? I thought it was only for the very young. 12 and under or so. The age limit for the mist is 49. I think they are pushing the mist to maximize the number of doses available.
To: Paleo Conservative
You could be right, that 49 does ring a bell.

A little “Just for Men” beard and sideburns gets me the Flumist but then I lose the Senior Discount at the airport lounge.

The flu shots do NOT prevent the flu, they just reduce the severity of it, if you get the flu. If things work out right you'll end up completely asymptomatic.

Interesting. Good to know. In either case was there any underlying illness? I have heard so much hype about this and knew of maybe one person who got it. She was out of the office for a week, but not much worse for the wear other than that.

Nice.
Preferential medical treatment for folks passing in/out of Chicago.
Well, maybe Obama felt he had to do it after it was reported a
few weeks ago that Canadians were getting shots by passing over to
Washington State.
Gotta keep all the liberals/socialists/Democrats healthy for election 2010.
