It is so believable. These guys despise America. This is the result.
Even if these guys are acquitted think on the chilling effect this has on combat readiness and morale.
It is treachery by lawyering.

Is this not some payback from the Pentagon brass for that ‘mishap’ off Somalia where the Seals waxed three hajis instead of waiting for Richard Holbrooke to show up and ‘negotiate’ a solution (presuming, of course, that the American boat Capt didn’t get killed in the meantime...)???
It’s hard to believe anything which we get from the Pentagon right now. Knowing that the lawyers have more influence than the Generals and the Generals who are being put forward are going to be the ‘we prefer NO war whatsoever’ types, just imagine how much it sucks to be a 2nd Lt right now with teenagers under your command and under fire in a place like Afghanistan.
