UNREAL. Obama May Allow US Soldiers to be Tried in the Hague

Unreal. Team Obama may allow US soldiers to be tried in the Hague for war crimes. The Wall Street Journal reported, via Jihad Watch:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed “great regret” in August that the U.S. is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has fueled speculation that the Obama administration may reverse another Bush policy and sign up for what could lead to the trial of Americans for war crimes in The Hague.

The ICC’s chief prosecutor, though, has no intention of waiting for Washington to submit to the court’s authority. Luis Moreno Ocampo says he already has jurisdiction—at least with respect to Afghanistan.

Because Kabul in 2003 ratified the Rome Statute—the ICC’s founding treaty—all soldiers on Afghan territory, even those from nontreaty countries, fall under the ICC’s oversight, Mr. Ocampo told me. And the chief prosecutor says he is already conducting a “preliminary examination” into whether NATO troops, including American soldiers, fighting the Taliban may have to be put in the dock.

“We have to check if crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide have been committed in Afghanistan,” Mr. Ocampo told me. “There are serious allegations against the Taliban and al Qaeda and serious allegations about warlords, even against some who are connected with members of the government.” Taking up his inquiry of Allied soldiers, he added, “there are different reports about problems with bombings and there are also allegations about torture.”

It was clear who the targets of these particular inquiries are but the chief prosecutor shied away from spelling it out.

Asked repeatedly whether the examination of bombings and torture allegations refers to NATO and U.S. soldiers, Mr. Ocampo finally stated that “we are investigating whoever commits war crimes, including the group you mentioned.”

My boss at work, he lost 7 relatives in the World Trade Center on 9/11 and he wanted to sign up for the Marines. His father, a Vietnam Vet in the Marines, almost came to beating him up to stop him from signing. He never joined because of that. His father remembers the ill treatment he got when he came home from Vietnam.

In light of this, I don't blame people for not wanting to sign up if they have a good chance of being brought up to the Hague. The Hague could kiss by butt for all I care and if it came down to that, if I armed all the middle aged bar patrons here in Pittsburgh with Garands and shotguns, they would make mince meat of the Dutch army in no time.

Obama along with his handlers, are out to purposely destroy the United States and Western Civilization.

I think what it will take to fix things in a jiffy is the use of force I'm afraid, be it peaceful force or the other kind. It is getting down to the wire where our opposition, the only thing they do understand is force.

However, there is a natural force out there, line in Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged." I think there is so much entitlements out there that it will collapse one day on it;s own. It is like the modern version of the "Tower of Babel" in the Bible, being with all these new programs they want along with their version of a New World Order. Like the Tower itself, it will come crushing down eventually. The good side, this is a good "reboot of the system" we need, the bad thing is the power vacuum we will leave, it could trigger an atomic war. I would even prefer this natural force of collapse over being a slave anyday, at least people will be free to rebuild.

I am trying my hardest to convince my son not to enlist yet, but to prepare for our defense here on US soil. My brothers are also preparing. I know he would learn a lot in the service and it would be wonderful for him to join our soldiers, but the upper management is corrupt. Well, I agree that they’re evil, but “stupid” and evil is what it would take for them to even entertain the notion that they could hand over jurisdiction for our Military to an International Court of any kind. Policies that radical could be accomplished in a society where there was either virtual unanimity of thought, or where everyone lived in a state of terror, like Nazi Germany, for example. As I said before, they wouldn’t dare try it. What they MIGHT try, however, is to float the idea that the Hague wants it, and by publicizing that they’d initiate another one of their irritating “debates” , which would , and finally, realizing there was no upside for them in it, try to appear as Common sense Moderates bold and brave enough to rescue our Good Soldiers from Vengeful Europe.This issue might just be another ball in the air, to be juggled concurrently with BOTH terrorist trials, which will presumably be adjudicated sometime in Zero’s first term. They’ve been designing ‘win-win’ situations like this for themselves since Day One.
They’re good at it. It makes them happy. This is how rotten bastards get their jollies.
