China to build anti-ship Ballistic Missile

China's military is close to fielding the world's first anti-ship ballistic missile, which could turn the Pacific Ocean region close to China into a "no-go" zone for the US fleet, Bloomberg on Tuesday cited a report from the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) as saying,

Since Naval Intelligence knows about this, I’m sure that a way to foil it can be devised- hopefully before the weapon is actually deployed.

Military research into new weapons is one of the most important facets of defense.

This is very interesting. If they launch one, it may look just like an ICBM launch. What do you think that will do?

When their silos were fixed, this was less of a concern - we knew where they were. But with mobile ICBMs this is much more of a problem. And the trigger fingers may be much more itchy.

Nothing like hype for hype's sake, the Chinese have and have produced the French Exocet for years:" The C.801 anti-ship cruise missile is a Chinese version of the popular French made EXOCET anti-ship cruise missile.

Targeting a carrier battle group is not as easy as it sounds.
