Hussein’s muzzie cult wasn’t a problem for him, apparently.
To: rabscuttle385
No, but his dubious advocacy of RINO-ism and RomneyCare should be.

While Romney’s faith would probably be a problem for some even if he was a purely orthodox conservative, that’s not his problem. His problem is that he’s a Democrat.

His religion shouldn’t have anything to do with it as long as he’s from the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as were our founders. His politics and views for the future of the country is what’s important.

Not nearly as much as his political RINO governing is an obstacle.

Romney’s tenets of POLITICAL faith are the problem, not his religious faith.

But Romney has a political problem: his Mormon religious faith. A Gallup survey in December 2007 found that 18 percent of Republicans would not vote for a Mormon for president. That is complete BS. Romney's problem is not his mormonism, but rather his track record as governor of Taxachussetts.

Mitt Romney ought to rank atop the Republican candidates for president in 2012.Only in your Beltway-addled brain, Frum.

I see that CNN calls David Frum a guest writer. Can’t we give him to them permanently?

Don’t worry. Romney will be the GOP nominee in 2012. After all, it’s his “turn,” just as it was for Dole and McCain.

No his religion is not an issue. The yard-wide yellow streak of liberalism that runs down his back is however.

Should Romney's faith be an obstacle? No.
But since it makes his supporters happy to say it, instead of having to face his abysmal record on every issue that matters, right-thinking people will be accused of prejudice anyway.
It's ever so much easier to accuse others of hatred than to admit that your favorite candidate comes up embarrassingly short in the morals/ethics/decency departments.
Bring on the accusations.
