PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Brown University police forcibly removed a man attending a panel discussion about the politics of health care this afternoon after the man told Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy: ``You're not Catholic if you force Catholics into funding abortion.''
Kennedy was one of four panelists at the discussion. After each panelist made brief introductory remarks, the 200 people in the audience were allowed to ask questions. Christopher Young, a perpetual candidate for several public offices in Rhode Island, was the second person to take the microphone.
As he made a loud and rambling statement about public funds being used for abortions, a small group of campus police approached. They asked Young to stop yelling. He refused. Eventually the police forced him to the ground and dragged him out of the hall.
The issue of national health care and abortion set off a public feud between Kennedy and Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin. The men have clashed for weeks over publicly financed abortion in legislation overhauling the nation's health care system.
Patrick Kennedy is out of rehab again?
“Patrick Kennedy is out of rehab again?”
You have to keep drinking or they don’t invite you back.

Ahh, yes. Dissent is patriotic!
Now that Teddy is gone, Patches soon will disappear from the scene as he no longer will have the old man to protect him.
I do think there are times when our side gets unfair treatment. However, our side can use unwise tactics too.
If this guy wouldn’t release the mic and was shouting, I think it’s reasonable for the campus security to try to get things back under control. I’m sure it took some time to get him surrounded.
This guy could have raised the issue and asked a good question or two in a minute or so. By creating a scene, he took the chance of alienating people who could have been influenced for the good.
There are times when people on our side don’t use much sense.
Liberals always marginalize conservatives by calling their arguments “rambling.”
Well, he sounds like a nut.
The guy should have been a little less shouty so when the police removed him it would be because of outright censorship and expose the PC police for who they really are.
Patrick Kennedy should have an episode like this every day.
Attacking the beast in it’s own lair - what do you expect?
There’s nothing in the First Amendment that says that freedom of speech includes the right to criticize a Kennedy. Young should know that.
Why should ANYONE believe this report?
Do you really trust the MSM to tell the truth of what happened?
Of course ‘they’ WANT this guy to sound like a nut. Duh!
Sigh.
I thought that this very disturbing article may be of interest to you.
I don't know anything about him.
Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't.
The Kennedy Brats better figure out that the K Legacy was and is a falacy.
The only ones that got that easy ride was the Brothers. doesn’t follow the the brats.
Kennedy is just another name NOW.
Do I have to pick just one?
