The Iranians that took to the streets were mostly city-living leftists, not country-living conservatives. Nobody will be throwing roses at us if we attack Iran on behalf of their socialists.
Then again, we may see directl military action by Israel and perhaps others. The Israeli Foreign Minister was a critical Arab country on the Gulf last week, which fears Iran and would make an excellent launch point for any attack on Iran.

I'll suggest though, that five times every day, we should be able to sneak up behind our respective imamocrats and kick them in thier Mecca-facing butts.
It won't have much strategic impact, but it will offer emotional satisfaction.
Based on security around Imamobama, we shouldn't have any trouble accomplishing this on our end.
