Oh, I agree that they need money, I just think people are kidding themselves if they think there is any teeth to a threat if the!only recourse is to toss them out of office... yet they continue receiving their salary once they leave. It’s not a big threat
demanding that ALL congress critters stop receiving their salary upon leaving would be something. Of course, THEY would have to agree with it... an approve the measure
Hell, there were almost 500,000 signatures against the h1b bill, yet they passed it with little fuss. And I would imagine there is over 20% of the people that want an Id check for the first -resident... and they just ignore that
even withholding your tax money wouldn’t matter... as they will just print more.
I imagine the Founders had to deal with “We can never win” people too. I’ll say it again, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
