Palin: Obama birth certificate 'a fair question'

Speaking to the conservative talker Rusty Humphries today, Sarah Palin left the door open to speculation about President Obama's birth certificate.

"Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran?" she was asked (around 9 minutes into the video above).

"I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue. I don't have a problem with that. I don't know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers," she replied.

"Do you think it's a fair question to be looking at?" Humphries persisted.

"I think it's a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records -- all of that is fair game," Palin said. "The McCain-Palin campaign didn't do a good enough job in that area."

McCain's campaign counsel has said the campaign did look into the birth certificate question and, like every other serious examination, dismissed it.(continued)

If only Barry was 100% white, the McLame campaign would have done a much better job vetting Obozo. Maybe the BC and 20 years of Barry sitting in racist/America-hating Rev. Wright's pews would actually have been worthy issues.

Juan truly ran a lousy campaign, reminiscent of Bob "Viagra" Dole's 1996 ("Just don't do it!") fiasco against the guy who stained the blue dress. Thankfully though Sarah was on the ticket, and she got my vote - and the votes of millions of others - who would never have voted for McLame in the first place. Pre-Sarah, my vote was to be for Chuck Baldwin.

Really though to be fair, it's sad that the risk of acquiring the immutable label "RACIST" is a paralyzing fear for all politicians - McLame included. So now that we have had our first "black" president, is there a chance that the race-baiters can get over it? I highly doubt it.

Gee, and here I thought we were living in a "post-racial" America.

It is signed by the administrator and the attending physician. There is no mention of the citizenship or immigration status of the parents.

Is Joe Jr. a citizen. Is Joe Jr a "natural born citizen"?

The thing about Pakistan was disproven. Americans were merely warned NOT to visit the country, it wasn’t disallowed by the US or Pakistan.

I will say though that it is my hunch that he did NOT travel there on a US passport, but rather on an Indonesian passport as he probably still had the ability to use his Soetero name in that country and the US nor Indonesia would be none the wiser — of course, that is PURE speculation on my part...

As for the rest of your post — I agree with everything you’ve said. It’s just important that when we speak about this issue we don’t forward things that can be easily dis-proven. It weakens the rest of our arguments.
