FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - A cheering crowd has greeted former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin at Fort Hood in Texas.
Palin stopped at Fort Hood as part of her national book-signing tour. Her visit comes a month after a mass shooting at the Army post left 13 dead and scores more wounded.
About 1,250 fans showed up to get signed copies of Palin's book, "Going Rogue." Because of limited space, only about 250 people were allowed in the food court building to see the former Alaska governor.

As I mentioned in several other posts, just returned from Cancun and was delighted to see both men and women reading the book around the pool! The men were older, the women were young, good for Sarah!
Nice little knee biting comment on the end about being kept on a short leash.
I bet no one fell asleep during her visit, either.

I should have said this in the other post but...
I was in Borders about a week ago looking for the book. Sold out. Every copy gone. But funnily enough...they had all the copies you could ever want of “Going Rouge: Sara Palin, An American Nightmare.”
Wonder why everyone bought Sara’s book and nobody bought their propaganda?
The military will be huge supporters of Palin come 2012.
The entire piece felt a tad underwhelmed. Like the precise number of people outside, the 'black partitions', and the not talking to the press comment.
Maybe the latter set someone's teeth on edge.
Good point...I have noticed younger-ish women in all the book signing line up photos, very good. Just wait until the real rallies start for her in 2012 (if she runs). The left, the W.H. and the Lamestream media are gonna LOSE IT BIG TIME!!!!

Some enterprising converative young lads with brains will be volunteering along side them manning the phones, in 2012.
With a little luck they may meet the girl of their dreams (i.e. . each other).
I can see the book about how all these married couples met volunteering for Sarah's Run :-).....
The fact that Gov. Palin was given a very warm welcome at Fort Hood comes as no surprise, why would Ft. Hood be any different than any of the other places she goes. I would even venture a guess that if she did a book siging in downtown NYC she would draw a huge enthuriastic crowd.
Aw’ man! I’m goin’ nuts here! I pre-purchased her book on the internet a month before it was released; and the minute it arrived I stashed it to save it for a flight to Aruba and some beach time in February. I don’t know if I can stand it to wait that long! :o(
You don’t need the stress. Read the book now and cancel your plans to Aruba. ;)
Better read it now. By the time February rolls around, Sarah may have book #2 released.
I am surprised nobody mentioned all the book royalties from this signing are being donated to the families of the shooting.
As bad as she scares the Democrats, she scares the Counrty Club Republicans, a/k/a Democrat Lites, more.
