NPR reporter pressured over Fox role (Mara Liasson)

Executives at National Public Radio recently asked the network’s top political correspondent, Mara Liasson, to reconsider her regular appearances on Fox News because of what they perceived as the network’s political bias, two sources familiar with the effort said.

According to a source, Liasson was summoned in early October by NPR’s executive editor for news, Dick Meyer, and the network’s supervising senior Washington editor, Ron Elving. The NPR executives said they had concerns that Fox’s programming had grown more partisan, and they asked Liasson to spend 30 days watching the network.

At a follow-up meeting last month, Liasson reported that she’d seen no significant change in Fox’s programming and planned to continue appearing on the network, the source said.

There is no truth in the Pravda Media.

NPR is biased despite their claims of “All Things Considered”.

Lies of omission are lies too.

And they assert that NPR is NOT political?

They have to maintain that Stalinist lie because they are a 501c3 tax cheat organization and are officially prohibited from airing political advocacy for/against one candidate/party/issue vote. They "willingly" surrender their free political speech for the tax status which they compromise. But they can't admit to it, comrade.

Liasson made one of the most idiotic claims I’ve heard last week on Fox’s six o’clock show.

She claimed the faked science was “like framing a guilty man”

Amaized that Dana Perion agreed with her.

“Framing a guilty man”

Sounds like Fake but Accurate.

NPR is like Pelosi’s face surgeries in that nobody cares or wants them to amount to much. She should tell Meyer and Elving to go play with each other and tell Weisback at Slate magazine to play in the traffic during rush hour. I can’t stand NPR, and I resent my tax dollars being used to promote dimwits and democraps. (same difference there)I want a refund from these clowns and I want them to shut their pieholes.

The photographer was very skillful in making Mara look like the mythical beauty, Helen of Troy.

In real life, she looks more like Jennifer of Georgia, the pop-eyed Runaway Bride.

[Nah. This is orders from Rahm. Isolate, personalize, destroy. They want to stop people from going on Fox to marginalize the network.]

You nailed it!

That is OUR fault. When WE had control of both houses and the presidency, we did not end that travesty. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! I did not demand it from my legislators.

There were attempts. But we need to push harder next time to defund "State Run Media" (media which only serves one political party, it is not TRUE state run media appointed by the elected leadership). Instead it is run by the shadow government that politicizes unelected offices and powers of position.

‘We’re in trouble,’ and he means public TV (Current ^ | Jan. 19, 2004 | Karen Everhart)

South Carolina Sen. Ernest "Fritz" Hollings warned pubcasters that the upcoming Senate reauthorization of the Public Broadcasting Act will be a tough fight. "We’re in trouble," said Hollings, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Commerce Committee.

During a Jan. 11 [2004] luncheon at the National Educational Telecommunications Association Conference in New Orleans, Hollings suggested that public TV will take hits for the PBS series Now with Bill Moyers. Senate Commerce Committee Chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.) views Moyers, the program's host and editor, as "the most partisan and non-objective fellow in journalism," Hollings said.

Republicans' goal is to reduce government and "public TV sticks out because of the success of commercial TV," he told NETA conference attendees.

This should wake Mara up to the kind of people she is working for, but I doubt if it will.

National Pravda should not be tax payer funded when it is unabashedly liberal and at least half the country (more, I hope) is conservative.

We should not have a taxpayer funded organ of liberalism.

This just shows how far their heads are up their asses which in the case of NPR's male staffers means their head will have plenty of company or already been theres. Hope they like snakes and little furry animals.

NPR whining about political bias at Fox? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Looks like the Obamunist marching orders to marginalize Fox is being taken to heart at the federally funded media outlet, NPR. It’s hard to believe that a government funded media outlet does what the government orders it to do. I’m shocked, I tell you! I’m Shocked!

But for NPR to criticize Fox for bias is ludicrous in its pot-kettle-black hypocrisy.

Indeed.

Henican (sp?) drives me up a wall. I told my husband there are some people you just want to slap for their snotty attitude and nasty facial expressions, and Henican is one of them. I bet you a dollar he was the same irritating annoyance even when he was a little kid. Probably was never disciplined.
