A bid by Florida cops to probe whether Tiger Woods mixed a powerful potion of painkillers, sleeping pills and booze before he crashed near his home was rejected by a Sunshine State district attorney, according to a newly disclosed document.

The report states Woods had access to the sleeping medicine Ambien and the painkiller Vicodin.

The state attorney for Orlando, Fla., brushed off a subpoena request by the Florida Highway Patrol to obtain blood tests from Health Central Hospital, where Woods was taken after the Nov. 27 crash, according to the subpoena request obtained by the Herald.

Sure, a kid ran threw my fence, knocked down a tree and went and hide in one of the barns, VA state cops said he could only arrest him for public drunkenness and then I would need to go to court.

The cops have to see you in the automobile with keys in the ignition!! Standard law from one side of this country to the other.

Negative... here in Tennessee if they can "place you" in the vehicle within the past 3 hours you can be arrested.

Just reading your compilation of new discoveries, I am in awe of Mr. Woods. To have won all the tournaments that he has and still caroused as accused, dang!

If Jack Nikolaus was setting him up to slow him down in his race for the majors records, he hasn’t done very well.

As a man?

As a golfer, wow.

Who cares?????????????????????????

Tiger cheated.
His wife caught him.
If she chooses to forgive him so be it.

As for the rest of the vile...I’m sick of hearing it. I could care less. It’s his career and his family he is losing and it was/is his choice to do so. Let’s all give it a rest.

Tiger will NEVER be adored NOR RESPECTED as he once was. Too bad but I don’t feel sorry for him. He chose his path and now he has to walk it to the end.

Because

and Nike and his other sponsors probably aren’t too happy.

Nope, don’t believe it. I lived there a long time and the one that got the gold mine still does. My oldest brother is a retired TN cop.

Let him have sex with motherless goats - I could care less.

What I DO care about is the fact that this pompous little POS who carries himself like a Kennedy-wannabe has his arrogant ass in a sling. Telling the cops to f*ck off, 3 TIMES? He should be cuffed and stuffed, period.

And let the sponsors dump him, en masse, as well.

I hope the sponsors dump him too the police should stop treating celebrities differently then they do everyone else.

But I also think think the sponsors should be thinking about the scum they sponsor.

Nike’s sponsorship of Tiger Woods goes well beyond sponsoring a golfer. Nike sponsors Tiger Woods, the man. And as the number and type of Tiger’s “transgressions” mount (Porn stars? Cocktail waitresses?), Nike has to be second-guessing that strategy.

This morning brings news of alleged Tiger Woods woman No. 7 — a porn star named Holly Samson, who, like some of the others, Tiger allegedly flew around the world to tryst with him.

So what does Nike think of this? Does Tiger still have its “full support”? Are Nike’s thoughts still with “Tiger and his family?”

For example, what does Nike think of the contest Freaking News is running to design the best Tiger “JUST DO IT” ad?

So far, Tiger sponsors Nike, Accenture, Gillette, et al, have given him their “full support”.

How much longer?

Take a tour of Nike’s nightmare >

It was 2 something am. There were no other cars involved. He barely made it out of his driveway before he crashed. Plenty of probable cause for a DUI. A regular person would have been given a breathalyzer.

One person who is one of my son's karate instructors got a DUI back in 2005. He was at a bar, had a few drinks and there was a fight. He was outside with keys in the hand but far from his car. Got arrested. They didn't arrest him for Public Intox but instead went for DUI.

I also know a person who was in the passenger seat, the driver went into a store and the passenger got a DUI as well.

This is not true. There are several famous cases where the person had made it home and I know of a regular person who actually went to jail over it.

"How is careening down the street, hitting hedges, fire hydrant and tree not “probable cause” of DUI?"

What? Do you mean this....

...isn't the way you normally navigate out of your own driveway? /s

“and who eye witness statements allege was drinking and may have taken prescription drugs earlier in the evening”

These “eye witnesses” were at the scene? I don’t think so.

And no they did not have anything to support probable cause he was drunk or under the influence. Why did the FHP have to try to subpoena blood evidence? Simple, they did not have anything else. Only the FHP wanted to pursue this case so they would have access to any evidence collected at the scene, which was obviously non-existant. The DA tossed them out for good reason.

Celebs should be treated like anyone else which means no favors but also means no publicity driven prosecutions. I think this was headed toward the latter and the DA stepped in and ended it.

Well you can believe what you want but that's the law currently... I am a Active TN POST certified Reserve Deputy here.

Tennessee DUI law requires that all I need to do is prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you were, operating or in physical control of a motor vehicle on any public road, highway, alley, parking lot, or any other premises generally frequented by the public while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and your blood alcohol content of .08% or higher. Tennessee DUI law defines a person as being legally under the influence "per se" if their blood alcohol level is .08% or higher. This is true even if there is no evidence that the person's ability to drive is actually impaired.

Tennessee also has a law where a passenger can be charged with DUI if they are the owner of the vehicle, they are impaired and they allow an impaired driver to operate the vehicle which they own.

You can believe what you want, but you are incorrect here. TN law just like most other state laws do not require an officer to personally witness a driver physically operate the vehicle, how else would you be able to arrest a "suspected" DUI driver at the scene of an accident?

You do it based upon witnesses, physical evidence and articulable facts you can show in court.
