Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims the United States is attempting to thwart the return of mankind's savior, according to reports from Al Arabiya, a television news station based in Dubai.
Ahmadinejad reportedly claims he has documented evidence that the U.S. is blocking the return of Mahdi, the Imam believed by Muslims to be the savior.
“We have documented proof that they believe that a descendant of the prophet of Islam will raise in these parts and he will dry the roots of all injustice in the world,” Ahmadinejad said during a speech on Monday, according to Al Arabiya.
"They have devised all these plans to prevent the coming of the Hidden Imam because they know that the Iranian nation is the one that will prepare the grounds for his coming and will be the supporters of his rule," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.
Ahmadinejad continued the rant by claiming there have been plots by both the West as well as countries in the East to wipe out his country, according to Iranian news Web site Tabak

This religious whackjob believes, as all 12ers do, that their Mahdi can be brought back through the spread of chaos.
What has he been doing? He has been taunting the west with his words and going against the will of how many threats of further sanctions over his nuclear program. WHY?
He wants an attack! He wants the US or Israel, it doesn’t matter, to attack. When it does all hell (chaos) will break loose.
So for the US or Israel not to attack and bring about chaos, I guess the Mahdi will just have to stay down in his well.
Nothing like a religion going off the deep end. But they have a deep rooted belief in it, so how do we as unbelievers know if it is true or not? It can’t be proven either way. All it takes is a wacko in power, to push it to the limit, and those who lack any kind of a decent education will believe it. We have people here in the USA who believe anything you tell them true or not. So you have this screw ball preaching to his screwball followers, its like here with Hope and Change, Free money, Free Health Care, Free mortgages, Free Gas, etc.. and you have believers who expect to get free stuff. Same Principle? No? (Rhet.) I pity the Iranians, who are educated, and have to deal with this POS.
