I can’t help but wonder if the dissenting climatologists were weeded out by agenda driven grant givers. Companies often give big bucks to university science departments to do research. That in itself is a good thing. Its when a company seeks a predetermined outcome that it starts wrecking science. For instance, General Electric spent millions on research and we know where they stand. Our government’s stance on climate is pretty clear as well.
Scientific disciplines that don’t draw big grant money seem to be pretty straightforward. In the fields of physics, paleontology, and astronomy just don’t get the kind of money this “climatology” draws and are full of dissenting views as they should should be.
Physicists are real scientists.
BTTT!
As a practicing physicist, I fully support and applaud this action.

Global Warming on Free Republic
>> In 2007 the APS Council adopted a Statement on global warming that was based largely on the scientific work that is now revealed to have been corrupted.
No doubt the APS Council’s pr dept, like most every corporations’ marketing arm, felt the need to be hip and ‘cool’ on AGW.
