Copenhagen's Political Science (Sarah Palin Climate-Gate Op-Ed in WaPo)
Washington Post ^ | Wednesday, December 9, 2009 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 12/09/2009 6:30:33 AM PST by Clyde5445

With the publication of damaging e-mails from a climate research center in Britain, the radical environmental movement appears to face a tipping point. The revelation of appalling actions by so-called climate change experts allows the American public to finally understand the concerns so many of us have articulated on this issue.

"Climate-gate," as the e-mails and other documents from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia have become known, exposes a highly politicized scientific circle -- the same circle whose work underlies efforts at the Copenhagen climate change conference. The agenda-driven policies being pushed in Copenhagen won't change the weather, but they would change our economy for the worse.

The e-mails reveal that leading climate "experts" deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to "hide the decline" in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals. What's more, the documents show that there was no real consensus even within the CRU crowd. Some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago, estimates used to back claims that more recent temperatures are rising at an alarming rate.

The Washington Post published an op-ed by Sarah Palin? The Washington Post published an op-ed by Sarah Palin?

Are pigs flying in to Reagan-National?

The left’s (non)reaction to the exposure of the fraud that underlies their AGW assertions just shows that their “solutions” were the goals all along.

Just a bunch of fascists that seek to rob the American people and maliciously reduce our lifestyle.

The WaPo libs continue to demonstrate they lack the intellect to cogently comment - an example:

Can Palin even point out Denmark on a map? Does she even know that there is a country named Denmark? So, she's now an expert on climate change? Oh right, I forgot! She reads "everything". It is really pathetic that the WaPo gives space to a narcissistic, whining, ignoramus, whose only purpose in life is to promote her wh*rish self.

The signifigance of this article cannot be overstated: This is the Washington Post, giving Madame President the full weight of it’s paper, to write a totally accurate and critical piece that elevates her to the (perceived by themselves) levels of the other Washington mucky mucks including the foriegn born president

Governor Palin is clearly the only impact politician on the Right. This op-ed will AT LEAST draw scorn from the left. If other conservatives wrote the same piece it would be ignored. Also, Gov. Palin actually fought the global warming crowd successfully in court over the Polar Bear issue and won.

Her mastery of early round boxing tactics is impressive. Keep your guard up, keep moving, don’t expose yourself, but when your opponent reveals a weakness or vulnerability strike it with a quick jab.

I wonder how many of the WaPo staff understand this?

It requires some understanding of math, physics, and chemistry to understand it, but it uses the warmists' own Vostok data to prove that CO2 changes are caused by temperature changes, not the other way around. It even establishes a clear causal mechanism.
