Back in the early seventies (maybe late sixties) the hippies that had discovered Telluride, Colorado finally became organized and populated enough to get other hippies elected to the various positions in the town. (I'm pretty sure it was Telluride.).

The FBI ended up infiltrating them and after awhile had enough to take them all down on drug charges and the locals got their town back.

Of course, that was a LONG time ago when government was usually on the side of law abiding citizens.

Did they place National advertising, citing a specific crime they wanted to charge, and offer a tool free line to do it?

(I know, we didn’t have wide spread toll free in the 70’s) But you get my point.
