There is no war against Huckabee. We just didn’t like him before, because he is dishonest and slimy, and covers it in a crackling Christian coating, and now we like him even LESS because he pardoned so enormously many criminals and some of them have gone on to commit the most heinous crimes. No need for a war. He’s been spotted out as a phony, done, simple.

My question is why anyone cares to defend based on minutia the reduction of sentence or the string of clemency granting of then Gov. Huckabee. It isn’t worth anything. Are we supposed to think that some how he is more fit to be President? Not in my book. He is no better than Mike Dukakis and we conservatives better learn how to keep a clear vision on issues like this or no one will believe anything we say. When we start granting a pass to people who have an ‘R’ in front of their names regardless of their actions then we become no better than our opposition. What gets me the most is that Huckabee’s supporters seem ready to give him a pass on anything because of his folksy “Praise Jesus” ways. We believers should be better than that.

Did you feel this way when Sarah Palin was the front runner? I don’t care who the front runner’s are. I care about the substance of the those who run. I don’t want a Republican to win that is only half as bad as a liberal no more than I want to drink milk from a jug that is half spoiled.

Yep, that other boy from Hope is trying to turn this debacle into a big win for himself. Despite this fiasco, he is still a pompous pipsqueak who has all the potential to be a cross between Clintoon and McLaim.

I guess...... “it all depends on what the meaning of clemency is, is.”

Huckaliar and his moronic friends can spin this stuff until the Sun burns out... he will NEVER be the president.

I do think that he still has value... he could sell Sham Wow’s on late night tv, or come up with his own brand of kitty litter.

Very well said! Huckabee IS a deceptive insensitive weasel and WORSE!
He is a criminal associated with the Clintons in their Arkansas ruthless power politics days.

When it comes to rino’s it not one thing that we disagree with, its that rino’s are just democrat lite..and hold no policy I believe in...screw them all. They should just switch parties and make it official, they like democrat idea's........and that includes the snake oil salesman Hucklebuckle....he's just an O golly gee Romney. Suckers in the uninformed and those that see the word christian and forgot about the warnings of Jesus...to be as wise as the serpent...and as guiless as a lamb..

It is CHRIST that is the foundation to the Kingdom of heaven. If you’s actually READ your Bible, you wound’t come up with such nonsense.

Precisely my point. There is one mediator between man and God, the man Christ Jesus.

if you disagree with him politically fine (and I have my own differences with him). Don't vote for him, don't send him any money, and campaign against him.

But to assume that you are entitled to make your 'righteous judgement' against a professed Christian and determine that Huckabee is not a Christian because he does not live up to your personal ideological litmus test is pharisaical.

And, please, I know the image of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates is a metaphor. I DO read my Bible, but not merely for the purposes of finding 'scriptural' support for my political ideology.

Mi>If you are suggesting that there is only a "single" issue that Huckabee is a RINO on,

No, my suggestion is not merely about Huckabee. There seems to be a lot of people around here who think that if a candidate does not 100% agree with their litmus tests, then that candidate is a RINO. Problem is everyone seems to have a slightly different litmus test. I have several disagreements with Huckabee, but if he turned out to be the candidate, I would vote for him in a heartbeat before I would throw away my vote on a third party without chance of winning in some 'noble' protest.

So you injected a discussion about one-issue RINOs into an unrelated thread on Mike Huckabee? You go on yourself to say Huckabee has several problems. What exactly is your point? You insinuate that Huckabee only has 1 problem and say we can't be single-issue voters. Then when you are called on that you shift and shuffle. Look, does Huckabe have MULTIPLE problems or not? If so, then why the whining about candidates with only ONE problem? You can't have it both ways.

As far as him being the candidate, we are trying to avoid that problem so we don't have to make a choice between a fake GOP candidate and real conservative 3rd-party candidate. Don't you think it's wise to avoid that? Keep up this mealy-mouthed pansy speak and you WILL end up with a RINO candidate.
