The Florida Department of Children and Families paid a visited Tiger Woods' Florida home on Saturday, according to reports.

The agency went to the golfer's mansion mid-day, accompanied by a marked police car, radaronline.com reports without naming information sources.

Officials, though, wouldn't confirm or deny the report.

"Child abuse, adult investigations in the state of Florida are confidential," said Carrie Hoeppner, an agency spokeswoman, told the Daily News. "I'm just not able by law to give confirmation about whether we visited the family and that is in the interest of protecting the child."

It's protocol for the state department to investigate domestic violence that occurs in homes.

It’s possible that Tiger’s Mom reported Elin, no one knows and probably will never know what caused CPS to get involved.

Oh yeah. Considering Elin is going to take the children out of the country, Tiger's Mom will do anything to keep her grand-children close by.

And remember, it was ELIN who beat up Tiger. And to his credit, he didn't strike back..

He best take his wife and kids and leave fast.

I think I’ll just sit back and watch all the Freepers make fools of themselves opining without facts.

Oh, come on. Isn’t anybody going to reference that photo and declare Elin “not guilty”?

And where are all the “hit it” photos?

> i’m not on board with the nanny state. you are responsible for you and yours. period.

At the philosophical level, I agree with you. I'm not in favor of the state stepping in, in a case like this. I'm just saying, given that they are there already today, we shouldn't be surprised or shocked that they step in now.

> if you abuse your kids, you should be advised otherwise... and asked to leave the community if you continue...

A question: Who "asks" the offender to leave the community, with sufficient power behind the "asking" to enforce it if the offender ignores it? A posse of concerned neighbors?

Tiger will never return now that the PGA started drug testing.

I'd love to know if he is juicing.

Another view of this is the FHP handled the case badly (allowing Woods to refuse bloodwork/breathalyzer AND coming back to the Woods manse and repeatedly being turned away. Please...let any nonBillionaire try either of those tactics)...so FHP could be getting a lot of criticism, and other state agencies (like CPS...who would usually be involved given the amount of police activity at the address in the last two weeks).

I personally hope Elin, her mom and the two babies make to that mansion on the Swedish island. Get out of Florida, away from Woods and his army of enablers.

I realize there is a giant guilt factor here due to TW actions.
Yet everyone REFUSES to address my issue.

I FIND SOCIETIES PREOCCUPATION WITH COMMON SLUTS (FORGET ELIN AND THE KIDS FOR A MOMENT),A NATIONAL EMBARASSMENT
SINCE WHEN IS IT ACCEPTABLE FOR A WHORE (YES THESE TRAMPS EXPECT A PAYDAY) TO BE GIVEN CELEBRITY STATUS?

I just see this whole issue as a statement on the pathetic state of our Society.
