COPENHAGEN — As international climate talks appeared in danger of disintegrating, Al Gore arrived to a rock star’s welcome in Copenhagen today.

If Copenhagen is the enviros' Woodstock, then Gore is The Who, the Grateful Dead and Creedence Clearwater Revival as a one-man band. The former vice president drew such a big crowd that security had to shut down access, with hundreds of unhappy activists left outside.

In the early 70s, I sat on a panel that previewed new tv shows and commercials. One of the things we previewed was this very skit. (The original, of course).

No way. His kids will be filthy rich. That is the problem with our Congress and President. They are all filthy rich, get superior healthcare and will never suffer from their corruption.

Think about anyone on a salary/fixed income salarie. When massive inflation hits (which it will given our 14 trillion debt which will grow to over 100 trillion with SS and Medicare, seriously), these people will suffer horribly. And most of these people are the poor and middle class.

I have lived here on the west coast by the beach for the last 54 years. There has been not sea level rise other than the two high tides we get everyday ( we get two lows also). The shoreline is the same, it’s not higher, not lower, it’s where it has always been. I know this is not a very scientific observation but just as the boy in The Emperor Has No Clothes I can only comment on what I see.
