That settles it, I like them more than ever now...........
Haha, Jesus? He certainly wouldn’t have acted like many of the so-called Christian groups of today.
Please stop projecting your pro homosexual agenda against the Salvation Army.
It's a church - a church which actually does GOOD.
They are bible based - can't you see that?
ichabod1;gidget7: Thank you for kindly attempting to correct this FReeper in his/her errors.
I’m going out this evening...I’ll make a point to locate and donate.
Do you think that you should not have had to pay?
It took my nephew five years to pay off his son’s NICU stay.
The fact that SF sees the Salvation Army is a ‘threat’ only motivates me more to always donate to SA and to always ignore UW.
Any charts out there for Charities showing how much they raise vs what they give out? 89% sound great. What about the United Way or Red Cross?
Just what is this ‘proportionalism’ that is mentioned here, in regards to the Catholic church?
so basically the militant homos would rather kids go hungry ...
nice.
Perhaps it is YOU, and folks like you, who are truly homophobic. Afraid to take a stand, afraid to utter a word of disagreement? For fear the big bad gay person my get mad at you?
If one fails to believe in, take a stand for, something, they will fall for anything. This is a conservative Christian principles website, perhaps you would be more comfortable elsewhere.
“Sure they do good things. It doesnt change the fact that they are a homophobic organization.”
No one said you have to like queers.
I’ve donated extra to SA this year.
great post
I learned a lot about the Army from my SIL’s grandmother who was a brigadier.
First class outfit and fully deserve our support.
It’s the Red Cross and United Way we need to be careful with.
They are the most reputable charity out there. I didn’t see it in the article but I believe they have the highest payout and lowest admin overhead.
Those bell ringers always bring a smile to my face.
“homophobic organization” Screw You!
That’s Queerspeak. If you mean they don’t condone homosexuality nor promote it, then yes they are that. If you mean “afraid of homosexuals”, they are not; they are Christ-centered.
No, I did not say that.
God will judge, but we are not silent. We are to speak out against sin and practicing homosexuality is one. Period. It is up to God to judge. To say “What you are doing is wrong” is not to judge.
That is NEVER a problem, Leo, you and the SA are very welcome!
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Homophobic, nice try. There is no ‘phobia’ in volved, no fear, but a knowledge of right and wrong. Is this a bad thing?
