Well, that was all covered back then, when the news came out. The hospital said that he qualified to be at the top of the list because of his condition, and that he met all the criteria and that Jobs received no other consideration than any patient would have.
Also that was a list was for that state and Jobs qualified there. Apparently (I would say) there was more ahead of him in California than there was in Tennessee. And there was no problem going to Tennessee.
As I said, he was at the top of the list, he met all the criteria, and if he's already at the top of the list, it really doesn't matter -- one way or another.
What you don't get is why was he in line for one in Tennessee and why he wasn't in California.
Do you think that California has fewer potential organ donors dying than Tennessee?
Or do you think that just maybe the California system is so screwed up with bureaucracy and government mandates it has more trouble with getting one to those in need than the medical system in Tennessee?

There's nothing mysterious about that. Chalk it up to the fact that Steve Jobs may be intelligent enough to know that it's quicker over "here" than it is "over there"...

You would have thought, with it being “TIME” that they would have picked Steve Jobs (they like Apple products over there...)...
They didn’t pic Jobs because: TIME is stupid.
