Barbara Boxer's electoral dysfunction
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 12/15/9 | Debra J. Saunders

The U.S. Senate defeated an amendment last week to restrict taxpayer funding of abortions under Obamacare. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., voted against the measure, arguing that it would require women to buy special riders to purchase abortion coverage.

In defending her no vote, Boxer argued that male senators were doing to women something they would never do to men. Quoth Boxer: "The men who have brought us this don't single out a procedure that's used by a man, or a drug that is used by a man that involves his reproductive health care, and say they have to get a special rider. There is nothing in this amendment that says if a man someday wants to buy Viagra, for example, that his pharmaceutical coverage cannot cover it, that he has to buy a rider. I wouldn't support that."

That quote illustrates why Washington cannot be trusted to overhaul health care.

Shut up Babs. Women get more healthcare than men do.

People with the intellectual reasoning of Barbara Boxer shouldn’t be the ones making our laws, that’s for sure.

And why is she offended that a military officer calls her “ma’am” as a form of respect? Why does she insist on being addressed as “Senator”? That incident too speaks volumes about how she thinks about things.

What a bafoon.

Abortion = killing babies
Viagra = possibly making babies

Isn’t there just a little bit of a difference here?

Bab’s “moral ground” can be displayed by her argument with Santorum wherein she stated that the baby isn’t entitled to human rights until the “family takes it home from the hospital”.

From her viewpoint, both of the issues are “sex positive”, something the left highly supports.

Abortion is a “female issue” and viagra a “male issue” and (to her) should be treated the same.

Men die sooner.

Then by liberal logic, women's healthcare should be reduced until they die at the same rate as men.

This could be quite an interesting political lessonm because there's no lack of examples of this kind of cut-off-nose-to-spite-face thinking in the liberal world. All that would need to be done is list, say, ten of them, and then use them to demand a reduction in women's health services.

Liberal heads would explode - they literally would have no answer.

Boxer’s opponents capitalize on ‘ma’am’ exchange

By KEVIN FREKING, Associated Press Writer Kevin Freking,
Mon Dec 14, 8:07 pm ET

WASHINGTON – The widely played video clip of U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer reprimanding a general for calling her “ma’am” is the gift that keeps on giving for the two Republicans hoping to challenge her next year.

Republicans Carly Fiorina and Chuck DeVore are trying to capitalize on the exchange by making it a key ingredient of their fundraising efforts and attempts to recruit grassroots support. Both campaigns say the video revs up a GOP base that already has long-standing animosity toward Boxer, among the most liberal members of the Senate.

She’s still a baffoon, I don’t care how she justifies her lopsided thinking.

Abortion should be an issue for both, I know of a guy who culd not stop his girlfriend from getting an abortion. He wanted to raise the baby even without her, but he had no say in the matter, and she killed it. He was devastated.

As far as Viagra, it’s a male issue only if it’s a one person party, otherwise it’s just as much for the women as the man.

There you go - expecting something akin to “consistency” in application of rules when it comes to liberal ideology.

It’ll never happen. They will just as quickly jump to change the rules or ignore their past assertions because “straight white Christian males” have “had it good” for too long and they NEED to be punished.

They should sue the healthcare system for discrimination.

Boxer is as dumb as a wet rock, but her handlers know the abortion issue is key to her survival.

I will never forget an obnoxious local high maintance babe during the Clintoon mess with these bumper stickers on her luxury car:

Impeach Clinton Vote Boxer/Pro Choice

This obnoxious female called herself a conservative with the exception of her core belief of abortions for all. The same female goes insane when Sarah Palin is mentioned around her because of Sarah’s personal pro life stand/belief.

Are all the RATS stupid? So far every one I seen opening their mouth either lies, distorts, spin, etc. And when a RAT opens his motor mouth and rants on and on I know it is BS. Damn, I’m getting where I have to mute their mouths. Pelosi, Waters, Boxer, Waxman, Reid, Dodd, and on and on. How can voters continue to elect these ignorant as#es.

“How can voters continue to elect these ignorant as#es.”

It is really very simple. Have you ever turned on TV ANY evening and tried watching the mindless drivel that is broadcast (and I am NOT talking the news hour ... that is even worse)

Why is stuff like that on? Because of DEMAND of the masses. A nation of MORONS

Really quite simple. and NO .... I DO NOT have confidence any more in the people of this country. See above once more.

Boxer goes insane because she knows Palin has more class and moral fiber in her right toe than Boxer has in her whole body. Jealousy is a &itch, right, Ms. Boxer, Ma’am?
