He's a dimwit who said out loud that California's finances are under control.

He's one of at least 30 governors who will go begging to Obama for a second helping of bailouts next year.

Nice try but I am not going for your bait except to mention the cabinet post was formed in 2007 before Climategate. Sarah’s views have never changed on the subject as many have already mentioned but your so guliable you got reeled in by the media on this. You can try again but you will fail again by the way I will not respond to you again.

Couldn't a warming committee also deal with:

a) The impact of warming, regardless of its cause or causes? Natural warming could potentially cause just as much environmental and economic damage as the mythical AGW would.

b) Preparing a state whose economy is heavily dependent upon fossil fuel production, for possible legislation, regulations and taxes, no matter how irrational, from the Federal government, other state governments and the governments of other nations that would negatively affect the Alaskan economy?

Palin seems to have gone from being an agnostic on AGW to a serious skeptic, leaning towards a “denier” (and I mean that in a good way). That is far better than the vast majority of politicians.

Unlike Huckabee and Romney, who don't seem to learn from their mistakes, on pardoning violent felons and socialized medicine respectively, Sarah Palin has reevaluated the the evidence and looked at the new evidence and moved strongly in the right direction on AGW.

“Sarah, like Newt, believes in the Hoax.”

No she doesn't. Reread what she actually said.

If you lived somewhere where the rainfall was (from your own experience) diminishing year after year, wouldn't you find ways to adapt???

That's what Palin’s committee was about: ADAPTING (if necessary); not fixing blame and trying to stop any change that clearly is out of our control!

Abortion used to be my biggest issue but I’ve given up trying to get witches to quit offering their babies to Satan. Now I’d just like Republicans to fight the global warming lie. If they can’t, we need a new party.

Dansong,
Heh? You can’t really be dumb enough to believe she believs in AGW. Or can you? She believes the climate is changing because, well, it is. It’s been changing for hundreds of millions of years and she has said, repeatedly, that it’s changing due to natural cyclical causes. What about that don’t you get? Amazingly, you quote Rush, who is a huge supporter of Governor Palin’s. Did you forget about that too?

Thanks for playing.

You and Above My Pay Grade make good points. I'm simply afraid that in a lib-moderated debate they'd use the committee as evidence of Sarah having it both ways, no?

The solution to that is to refuse to participate in a lib moderated debate.

Wrong again A-Hole. She established the committee to study the effects of natural, cyclical warming on Alaska’s economy and whether or not there was anything that could be done to mitigate the economic effects of the natural warming to her state’s economy. Are you really this dense?

Gee, it sounds to me like she looked into what was going on and, after getting the facts from the committee she formed, decided it was NOT caused by man.

Doesn't sound liberal to me, just pragmatic. Excuse me, your hate Palin "slip" is showing.

“...she believes in the Hoax”

She doesn’t believe in the hoaz. Global climate change is no hoax. Man’s ability to influence either way (warmer/colder) is the hoax. Learn how to read. Even Rush says climate change is real.

Until we say plainly that it's not caused by man, we're liberal-lite.

Wrong, we simply say that the AGW proponents have to scientifically prove there is a significant human component before taking ecnomomic action and leave it at that. Methinks you are being deliberately obtuse here.

“What don't you get?”

I don't get how a committee of bureaucrats is going to affect a climate that has been changing for hundreds of millions of years. I also don't get how you think the DBM will give her a pass on this.

no need for name calling, Dansong has acknowledged that the GW committee is not an acknowledgement of Agw.

Thanks MrB. Last post: I’m passionate about my country and I’ve been a Freeper for years. I’m just bewildered with all things that even appear RINO.

If you're that "afraid", how about not doing it yourself in a conservative moderated-debate?

AGW is not a liberal or conservative idea. It is science, science will either prove or disprove it. I think science will disprove it. However a wise person “hopes for the best and prepares for the worst”. Sarah taking steps prepares for the worst, just indicates that she is a “wise person” and not an ideolog.

I’ve lived in Texas most of my life, and I remember the summer of ‘80 very well.

Day after day after day of over 100 degree weather, often 110-112 degrees. At night it barely cooled down to 80 degrees.

People were dying from heat stroke...and with all those air conditioners running the power grid was under constant stress.

You don’t think the Governor of Texas was interested enough in the effect it was having on the residents to study a way to make sure, if it happened again, the citizens would be better equipped to cope?

Global Warming...happens every year in Texas.

AGW is ENTIRELY a political idea.

Whether it is actually TRUTH or not could be settled by objective science, but they’ve become too politicized, too conflicted.
