They’ve just opened a Pakistan Foundation - money will be funneled this way -
http://www.america.gov/st/sca-english/2010/June/20100614165222kjleinad0.7570154.html?CP.rss=true

Hillary is in the thick of it. So it would appear is Wahid Mahid - Obama’s old buddie from college. The other friend - forget his name - gathered money in Pakistan and his brother did the same here - for his campaign. Isn’t it illegal to collect money from a foreign country for our campaign? Anyway Wahid Mahid is on the board of the State Department - business section. He was also CEO of Pepsi and got on their board two years ago. One craves for such an appt and he got it willy nilly. He was also in China for a few years and o pened an IT business called “HANDS” - wonder if the name is symbolic, as in, China Hands - those lefties from the 60’s. Not a hundred percent sure if it’s the same Walid Hamid...reading his CV - it ap pears that he is...

There’s a bigger picture going on with Feisal, Hillary, Obama, and the UN.

The history associated with the building, a former Burlington Coat Factory store that closed after being damaged on 9/11, was a reason to pick it for the project, she said.

I find it interesting that the folks wanting to build the thing say right here it was the history of the building that caused them to select the building...

Yet, the New York zoning board ruled that the building didn't meet their standards for a historical landmark.

“The Separation Between Muslims and Taste”
by Doug Giles
August 7, 2010

SNIPPET: “Building a mosque at Ground Zero is like OJ’s mom putting a glamour shot of Orenthal over Nicole Brown’s gravestone. In other words, it’s very wrong and extremely disgusting, as every person with a lick of decency would agree.

What’s next, Awad? Are you going to demand a Nidal Malik Hasan Avenue on Ft. Hood’s military base? What about an Abdulmutallab Upgrade Package on Northwest Airlines?

To me, the question is not if a mosque could be built right next to the place where Muslims slaughtered 3,000 innocent people, but should it be built. The “no duh” answer to that insane inquiry is: Hell no, it should not be erected because that is simply gross.

Yet only people who actually give a rat’s backside about what others think could understand or answer such a question … which excludes Muslims. And for that matter, it excludes Bloomberg the Jackass.

In one of the most insensitive acts known to mankind, the “Religion of Peace” blows off courtesy, decorum and the feelings of the vast majority of Americans by establishing a mosque next to the same chunk of soil upon which their Jihadists shed American blood. How quaint. And … how telling.”

"after being damaged on 9/11"

Isn't that "historical" enough for them?

“History” like “Treason” are real words with real lessons that should never be ignored, but the pc crowd does just that — ignore them.

Forbes.com, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is headed to the Arab world for a month-long “outreach” tour, courtesy of the State Department. His wife, Daisy Khan, is to make a similar trip.
Just what they’ll be doing — their scheduled stops include Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar — remains a bit of a mystery.
A State Department aide yesterday told The Post that Rauf’s mission is “to foster a greater understanding about the region around the world among Muslim majority communities.”

Oh, that sounds familiar. The State Dept had another "envoy" to send out to foster goodwill before. Been there, done that...

1995 : (ABDUL RAHMAN ALAMOUDI IS APPOINTED 'GOOD WILL AMBASSADOR' TO THE MIDDLE EAST; CLINTON IS APPARENTLY UNCONCERNED THAT ONCE OVERSEAS, HIS GOODWILL AMBASSADOR BADMOUTHS THE USA - See SAAR aka SAFA GROUP) The close relationship between the Clintons and al-Amoudi was traced back to 1995, when al-Amoudi was appointed a "Good Will Ambassador" to the Middle East. Once overseas, al-Amoudi was quoted as being thankful he could now speak freely, and he engaged in violent anti-American and anti-Israel rhetoric. Despite this, the Clinton administration gave him high marks. - "Clinton Era "Good Will Ambassador" Arrested," multi-sourced, 9/29/03 , vanity VIA FREEREPUBLIC

1999 : (ABDULRAHMAN ALAMOUDI TRAVELS FOR THE STATE DEPARTMENT) "The story quoted from an interview I gave in 1999 while traveling for the State Department; the quotation implied I supported terrorism. But the story did not mention that the excerpt -- inaccurately translated from Arabic -- was preceded by sentences in which I clearly and unequivocally denounced terrorist violence.
I do know political and religious extremists. In my work for the State Department, I spent time in embassies with diplomats, but also with people on the fringes of society in the countries I visited. I believe that maintaining a dialogue with those on the fringes is one of the free world's greatest defenses against terrorist violence. I talked to such people, using their own rhetoric at times, to persuade them of the uselessness and waste of terrorism. Everything I did on my State Department trips, I did as a service to the United States.
This double role -- of State Department representative and trustworthy Muslim brother to potentially violent, misguided men -- was not easy. I am criticized by many of my associates for believing that violence is never justified by any religion. Many have a deep mistrust of all American things and people -- including mistrust of me. "Imam Feisal said there could be little progress until the US acknowledged backing dictators and the US President gave an "America Culpa" speech to the Muslim world.

... Which is what Obama obediently did, along with a lot of pathetic bowing and scraping. At least we know one of the people who's giving Obama orders.

I wonder if Obama realizes he's behaving like a beaten slave and will not be respected for it by anyone, not even those he seems eager to please?

“9/11 Steel Cross Removed From Ground Zero
Special Report: 9/11 Remembered”
by Tamsen Fadal
NEW YORK (CBS)

WCBSTV.com’s 9/11 Special Report
Remembering 9/11: 5 Years Later

SNIPPET: “A symbol at Ground Zero, which has comforted many over the past five years, was transferred to St. Peter’s Church Thursday.

The cross-like structure that has become so familiar was found among the ruins after that tragic day, but was moved temporarily as new construction begins at the World Trade Center site.

At a time when it seemed there was no hope, the T-shaped steel beam continued to stand among the rubble and the smoking ruins of the Twin Towers.

The 20-foot tall cross-shaped beams that were once a part of World Trade Center No. 6, have been an important fixture at the site for family members, rescue workers and people who have come to visit over the year.

This is why officials have gone to great lengths to make sure it’s being taken from and returned to the site properly.

At 7 a.m. volunteers took down the cross and placed it on a truck where it will be carefully carried to St. Peter’s Church located at Church and Barclay streets.”

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf [of Ground Zero mosque controversy fame] is a key figure in Malaysian-based Perdana Global Peace Organization, according to its Website.
Perdana is the single biggest donor ($366,000) so far to the Free Gaza Movement, a key organizer of the six-ship flotilla that tried to break Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip Monday.
Nine passengers aboard the largest ship died in clashes with Israeli commandos, and a new confrontation loomed today, when another Free Gaza Movement ship was due to reach Gaza waters in defiance of Israel.

Speaking of the Free Gaza Movement ... oh, yeah, New York... you knew our "President" was in bed with terrorists when you put him in the White House:

JANUARY 2010 : (EGYPT : WEATHER UNDERGROUND TERRORISTS BILL AYERS & BERNADINE DOHRN ARE SPOTTED IN EGYPT ----see CODE PINK FOUNDER JODIE EVANS, FGM, GAZA FLOTILLA, HAMAS) Former Weather Underground leaders William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Code Pink founder Jodie Evans, helped organize the Free Gaza Movement, which launched the six-ship flotilla from Turkey to Israel that ended in a violent clash with Israeli Defense Forces, BigGovernment.com reported.
In January, the trio were spotted in Egypt attempting to stir up crowds on the streets with 1,400 other left-wing activists after the Egyptian government refused to allow Free Gaza Movement members to enter the Gaza Strip. About 100 marchers were eventually allowed to cross the border, where they were met by former Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh.
BigGovernment quotes author Philip Weiss, who wrote that he witnessed Ayers and Dohrn arguing with fellow activists over whether to accept Egypt's offer to allow a small number of them into Gaza:

"Dohrn said that the principle of ‘All or none' was a miserable one for activist politics. You always took what you could get and kept fighting for more. A European man in a red keffiyeh screamed at her that she was serving the fascisti. Her partner Bill Ayers gently confronted him and asked him why he was so out of control. Between getting on and off the bus, Dohrn, who wore a flower in her hair, said that she didn't like the absolutist certainty of the people on the other side of the police barricades, and having been in the Weather Underground, she knew something about absolutist feeling."
As political theater, an argument between the aging flower child/domestic terrorist and a fellow traveler over who knew more about "absolutist feelings" would be hard to top.(Excerpt) Read more at americanthinker.com ...------- "Ayers, Dorhn helped organize 'peace' flotilla," American Thinker ^ | 6/3/10 | Rick Moran Posted on Thursday, June 03, 2010 5:02:58 PM by Wilderness Conservative

2010 : (GAZA FLOTILLA) The Turkish Islamic charity behind a flotilla of aid ships that was raided by Israeli forces on its way to Gaza had ties to terrorism networks, including a 1999 al-Qaida plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport, France's former top anti-terrorism judge said Wednesday. The Istanbul-based Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief, known by its Turkish acronym IHH, had "clear, long-standing ties to terrorism and Jihad," former investigating judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...------- "French Judge Says Turkish Charity Behind Gaza Flotilla Had Terror Ties," Fox, June 02, 2010 Posted on 06/02/2010 6:51:52 PM PDT by nuconvert
