A Decline In Science (brayin)

In his name the nations will put their HOPE. Mat 12:21

Every group is open to corruption when it mixes w/politics. Nothing proves this more completely than today’s academic scientists. They have become so politically corrupt that the damage they have caused themselves is beyond repair. We will hear them clamor how w/o them we'd never explore the moon or cure mankind’s diseases like cancer or heart ailment. Some of us will point out that most of these cures and discoveries were done by corporate scientists rather than close minded university professors. There is no way to prove it, yet there is a high probability that today’s public sector scientists are living off the successes of corporate science. Any academic successes are in spite of themselves.

The recent track record for academic science has been a solid D+. Not only do they have the worldwide fraud of Global Warming, that mirrors so many of science frauds, they’re too many to count. Not only did we survive the Global Goring scare, but we’ve survived the Ozone hole, Acid Rain, the Ice Age, Population Bomb, Oil Tankers among thousands of other catastrophic disasters. How much time/$$ was wasted by these scientists trying to make names for themselves as they followed the latest fad science making their data fit the Groupthink?

On the medical side of science who can forget the AIDS epidemic was going to sweep across the population as a plague through heterosexual sex. Never mind that it was a disease that was transmitted by the exchange of blood by homosexuals and IV drug users, we wasted Billion$ scaring everyone. They never bothered to mention that monogamous heterosexuals have absolutely no chance of getting this disease through sex, it is purely a homo-plague like Hepatitis C. For decades now there was more money being spent on an incurable disease that effects 2% of the population due to them receiving liberal Sainthood. This is the most political disease we have seen in histoir with a completely disproportionate amount of time and resources have been spent on this due to thug politics. If they found that tobacco users’ lives were shortened by 20 yrs due to a hazardous habit, how much effort would be spent to stop that habit? Rather, AIDS became public enemy #1 by academia and untold resources were moved from cancer and heart disease to try to cure a disease that could be stopped by not promoting anal sex for men. You could say AIDS is homophobic as are the promoters.

These are a few examples of the corruption that has become causes among scientists and academia. They have become Priests in the cult of liberalism and have to chase these political correct diseases and causes to receive Priesthood w/in their cult. Global Warming takes it to the extreme of attempting to force the entire World to bow to their idols as well as sacrifice. Their research was absolutely corrupt by not only fudging the data to fit their world view, but any skeptics were vilified and/or ran out of science, just like creationists. You can still see these Fundamentalists mocking any skeptics w/the term "denier" or "flat earthers" who speak heresy to their Groupthink. This is being repeated in thousands of research projects around the World as these corrupt scientists try to prove their liberal doxology to their frightened public.

The private corporate world works just the opposite. Those scientists are expected to provide results and leave their biases at the door. They are truly searching for answers to questions as well as solving diseases and cures wherever the science leads them. Just like NASA needed to solve problems to get a man on the moon, so to does a scientist work to make an oil well leakproof on the ocean floor. There is no Groupthink, other than being handed a problem and being told to work to solve it, and being paid for results. That is why our pharmaceutical companies are the most productive in the world since these scientists are hired to produce to make their companies $$ as well as improve people's lives. If it was ever measure you would find that this is where most of the scientific pioneering happens.

Academic science is completely corrupted from their hatred of America and capitalism when in fact capitalism is the answer to most of the world’s problems. Growing jobs worldwide will solve every problem that exists so we should make every solution available. Nearly all of our problems have been caused by academic science and the District of Corruption. We have a major problem of energy and the DC politicians have only made the problem worse. Their absurd solution of turning corn into alcohol to run cars is not only the least efficient way to make energy, but has wasted corn, land and energy that could be used to feed people. The real solution is to turn it over to corporate scientists and let them solve this problem in the most efficient way. Since we can drill w/absolutely no danger of pollution, that is most likely a good solution that should be looked at in an unbiased view. The only reason we don’t drill our own oil is the corruption of academic science and LiBig Brother Consensus.

If we solved our problems in a corporate scientific method we would have an efficient running Country and world, rather we have one that is enslaved by academic/political corruption. This is destroying our economy and Country due to misusing talent and treasure being wasted chasing boondoggles like GW or Methanol production, when we could be curing disease or developing efficient energy sources. The academics have been corrupted both by going along w/Groupthink as well as being given preferential Grants to research corrupted science like GW and Evolution that relies on nonscientific answers like consensus. Until a theory is strong enough to withstand the scrutiny of skeptics, its nothing but academic angels dancing on a pinhead.

These thug tactics have been repeated as these profs found that they worked to promote their frauds. Many of their theorems are harmless, but for cult beliefs like GW, pollution or AIDS diseases the side effects are disastrous and when enacted starve millions. The farmers in Californeeea can't produce food thanks to this Groupthink Science. The sooner these science soap salesmen are exposed, the sooner we can turn the direction to free market solutions. If academia had GW skeptics in their faculty, how quickly could this travesty been debunked and time spent on improving our lives. There is a boom waiting from the unused/unwanted talent and a turned off economy that has been hamstrung by these cult priests. We would be decades ahead to fire academia and make them earn a living in the real world where they would need to produce or walk, then we would see an explosion of economics like this Country has never seen. We’re paying the price for a Decline in Science.

Pray for America’s Freedom and Gov Palin

Your points are sound, I cannot disagree.

But if you look at the "process flow chart" for the data, you can see how some scientists could easily have been honest and working diligently for good data, but that their data could then have been altered/changed by the "peer review" part of the flow diagram. My point is, I am hoping NOT every academic scientist is a "crook". I'm betting there are some who contributed to the data who are hopping mad that their reports and data didn't make it through the process. That's probably why the NIPCC report came out that totally debunks everything we are seeing on climate change. (pdf of summary at site). I'm betting many of the people who wrote this report were some of those "honest" scientists who's data was eliminated/changed. I've got the flow chart at http://www.thepatriotsflag.com and you can see how people could have been "honest" on the front end and "eliminated" with the process with the "dishonest" CRU. A few dishonest people could have totally besmirched the reputations of all of them.

as a former lab rat, most of what you are saying is spot on. But the same patterns of behavior apply to areas that have remained relatively free of taint. Historically, we have had periodic dust ups where no more than one or two scientists get caught fudging data and even altering notes in their lab books (which qualifies you as real scum as a scientist - you should not be called a scientist after that).

Fortunately, much of science has been self-correcting in the sense that antagonistic communities of scientists have these tribal battles over data, over methodology, over experimental design, for given areas of investigation like protein folding, neural signaling, enzymatic conversion steps, etc. Moreover, when an important finding cannot be reproduced in other labs, that is pretty much the kiss of death for a scientists line of investigation. He may keep working on it, but it’s status as a hypothesis is greatly degraded.

A final point though to keep in mind. Many scientists are initially attracted to the profession because it IS a quest for Truth. We quickly find out how hard it is to achieve that state, but you can still believe...and, in believing, you can accept the messy struggles that comes with sorting out confounding influences. But a true believer in science will not tolerate one confounding influence: Lying.

Lying is actually the easiest confounding influence to get rid of if you are interested in the Truth. This attitude can even be found in a Russian scientist. So, while the cynics are puzzled over the motivations of the Russians since they can make so much money on carbon credits, consider that the motivation, by some one person we may never know, the desire, to purge his field of research of all the lies, corruption and venal behavior that has sickened him to no end. Now, his conscience is clear. I’m sure, whoever he is, is sleeping much better now and letting us Americans work it out.

A true scientist should be more outraged than the rest of us by this corruption. Who knows who leaked it but you may be right that he couldn’t hide the truth any longer. Thanks for your input.

Pray for Freedom

they have consensus

There is opinion, not consensus in science. Science cannot be accepted as final, end of thought. Just drives me nuts to no end when they all mimic the word "consensus..consensus..consensus.."

Senator James Inhofe concluded: "This whole idea of global warming, I'm glad that's over. It's gone. It's done. We won. You lost. Get a life!" That is reckless in response as well. Politics $$$ and science just do not mix. Recently, I had read a quote by the science fiction writer Michael Crichton which appeared in the Wall Street Journal. A few days later, I was tuned into Rush and he read another quote by Mr. Crichton (who passed away, present book was found completed in his home).

Crichton said: "Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you're being had.
“Let's be clear: The work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics." (He said it straight up.

Michael Crichton, "'Aliens Cause Global Warming'," reprinted in Wall Street Journal, November 7, 2008.)

Brrrr is cold here tonight!!! Another log on the fire.

Excellent report by the way!!!!

Thanks truth. Exactly right that consensus is the opposite of science. The only way you could have it is if it stood up to skeptics which it never does.
