Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died Thursday morning after he was seriously hurt during what police are calling a "domestic situation" in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday.

The team's receiver fell out of the back of a pickup truck Wednesday during what police described as a domestic dispute with his fiancee. Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police spokesman Robert Fey said officers were stationed near the 26-year-old Henry's hospital room.

He moved his family away from bad influences and proposed to the mother of his children. All steps in the right direction.

“But if not, it will depend on the DA”

Unless there are witnesses, none are mentioned” there will be only one story, so it will, as Mac Taylor states” depend on the evidence. For all we know he may have fallen trying to force his wall into the cab of the truck... didn’t know she had to PROVE anything.

Beautiful family. Such a tragedy. The fact he took his family to Wyoming proves to me he wanted to get away from the bad influences.

Wyoming is a suburb in Cincinnati proper.

Yeah, Matt knocked up his girlfriend, who was playing basketball for USC. They broke up before she knew she was pregnant.

Wow.... now I see why they catch a few school teachers each year in Houston dealing drugs - it is less risk than standing in the classroom.

IIRC, Matt knocked up a volleyball player from SoCal. I don't keep my scorecard up to date, though.

Supposedly, when Peyton Manning went on SNL, he refused to do a joke where he was doing an interview with a reporter, and the reporter said, "Tom Brady still has two more Super Bowl trophies than you." Peyton was supposed to say, "there's something else Tom has two of that I don't," referring to Brady's two children by women he wasn't married to.

He still moved his family away from downtown Cinci. Big step in the right direction.

Ok that explains it - I thought you meant after he turned pro and considering how he played with the Cardinals I was wondering how he connected with anything... (sorry, cheap shot. lol)

Plus there could have been a tire iron or other tools in the back.

The default is that she should have known that he could have been killed and should have stopped. Fear for her life overrules that. We are assuming she was fleeing. But we really don’t know. This runs the gamut of “She was having a tantrum” to “She was running for her life” to “They were drunk and playing around”.

The law is weird. You cannot torture someone UNLESS they want it. It’s a matter of picking apart the facts.

Oh no worries. He found out he was going to be a daddy after he was drafted, I think. Leinart has a reputation as a big time party boy and has been connected to STDs, um, I mean Paris Hilton.

Ha - Paris Hilton - one night with her and you will remember it all of your life, and be treated for it as well.

What a good looking family. And she is beautiful.

What was he doing in Charlotte if they lived in Wyoming?

“The default is that she should have known that he could have been killed and should have stopped.”

Actually I believe a better default is “don’t expect rational judgement from a frightened/fleeing person”, could get you killed.

We know two things, she wanted to get AWAY from him, he was trying to prevent that, and that he wouldn’t have fallen OUT of the truck unless his center of gravity was high enough to allow that to happen.... we don’t know what he was doing to put him in that position.

My suspicion is that he was trying to get into the cab of the truck at the time fell, not an attorney but that’s the route I would take, then the state has to prove that didn’t happen.... back to that evidence thingy.
