Abortion opponent, cop differ on incident at clinic at Aurora

An anti- abortion activist says an off-duty Chicago police officer threatened her with a gun Wednesday while he was in a vehicle outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora.

But Aurora police say the 41-year-old officer told them he only flashed his badge when he saw the activist approach him and a 30-year-old female companion who was a Planned Parenthood patient.

With the disparity in statements and police finding both a badge in the officer's possession and a handgun in his vehicle -- and both objects being silver in color -- they've decided not to make any arrests, Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said. "There was no way for us to ascertain whether his story or whether her story was true," Ferrelli said.

Rachelle Crile, 31, a counselor with the Pro-Life Action League, says she approached the officer's sport utility vehicle in a parking lot near the clinic at 3051 E. New York St. about 9:15 a.m. to hand out a flier detailing alternatives to abortion.

She said she got within 8 feet of the vehicle when she saw through the window that he had raised his gun and was pointing it in her direction. She said she didn't know he was an off-duty police officer.

She said she put her hands up and walked back to her car.

I tend to believe her because it’s happened to other people I know, and I really don’t think it’s easy a badge for a gun.

Rachelle looks like the type of gal that surely knows the difference between a “silvery” badge and a “silver” gun. In fact, wouldn’t a small child even know the difference? What a bunch of chumps those Aurora police offers are.

Indeed, I agree with you ... and I'd like to know what the relationship was between the cop and the 30-year-old PP patient that was in his car. A girlfriend maybe? His wife? Was she carrying his child?

He's got one girl in his car he's setting up for murder, while he's pointing his gun at another woman. Abortion is so ugly!
