A senior House Republican on Thursday introduced a "resolution of inquiry" that would require the House Judiciary Committee to seek answers on why the Justice Department dismissed a civil complaint against members of the New Black Panther Party who disrupted a Philadelphia polling place in last year's elections.
Rep. Frank R. Wolf of Virginia also said he had language inserted in the Justice Department's annual spending bill requiring that its Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) provide to the House Appropriations Committee the results of OPR's investigation surrounding the dismissal of the case.
Mr. Wolf, a senior member of the Appropriations Committee's commerce, justice and science subcommittee, and Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, requested an investigation into the case earlier this year.
Under House rules, committees must take action on resolutions of inquiry within 14 legislative days. Mr. Wolfs resolution directs Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to provide Congress with "all information" relating to the decision to dismiss the case. The committee must hold a straight yea-or-nay vote on the resolution.
Mr. Wolf said he has written the attorney general six times seeking answers concerning the handling of the New Black Panther case and has yet to receive an answer.

Except that part of the bill would never get funded.
Most "funding" for large social changing bills is done through the media, for the acceptance of the financial cost which comes later.
The "media" doesn't care unless they will be affected. We know how that works. For the most part, they use it to there advantage (along with the ignorance, 'invulnerability' and belief of man being beneficial to man).

So true, so true. And that’s why the zero administration wants to control it. Just think about the enormity of the administration’s plan for the American populace. The internet must be by far the hugest thorn in their side. And they so want to pass the deathcare before Christmas while people are busy with their Christmas plans. They don’t want congress going home for the holidays and hearing from constituents BEFORE they get their vote. The internet and the tea parties are definitely getting in their way.
This is a huge battle going on, just huge. It’s the biggest thing in fifty years and the whole climate scam is hot on its heels. So far, it’s been peaceful. It may not remain peaceful. It’s up to us to keep up the pressure, heavy pressure, and we need to start finding ways to outsmart their efforts to avoid us. They’re desperate - so desperate they’re willing to lose their legislative control to get it.

I've said/questioned whether Öbama wants a second term. Why should he?
If he gets ANYTHING through for health care, it will be something for his legacy (he is a narcissist after all, much more so than the Clintons) Why else would he put time limits on passage of the bill?
If he (or any legislator) cared about the true intent of the bill, they'd expend the time to get it right or minimally to the agreement of the country and the media. (the media... the media is now questioning it... hmmmmmmm, why?)
The Clintons started this (in our limited political time span of knowledge/remembrance).
To date, no more have died or been denied HEALTH CARE than before have they? (couldn't have, the government or media haven't reported such).
It's a friggen insurance bill scam and a NAMING Right, GLORY bill for all involved.... including all Republicans who allowed it to get this far.

I agree up to where you think that they will give up their legislative control. Perhaps they will not need to control any further than they have?
Control from behind the light of the minor press exposure that they now receive (and the current turning against them by the 'press') would be more to their liking (or anyones).
It's reminiscent of the earlier days of control/political 'persuasion' by those who owned newspapers.

It was supposed to be pictures of a wolf, black panther, and a probe, but the panther image expired on its website.
I’m not ready to assume their agenda has a limit, meaning a parameter at which they say, “We have it all now.”
The slime stream press really doesn’t care what zero does because they share the zero administration’s agenda to a large degree, in varying levels of course. They’re basically on the same page. Besides, true investigative journalism as the expected process, meaning the “norm”, died out two decades ago. There are journalists working major assignments on major papers and broadcast news organizations a decade out of journalism school now who have never done a real investigative piece.

When I think of the old press you describe, I get a mental picture of a couple guys from the fifties, wearing those grey hats and suits all men wore then, smoking stogies while driving a ‘53 Plymouth or Desoto, then speaking with the classic Damon Runyon speech pattern, vocal intonations, and tough phrases into the pay phone they rushed to in order to be first to call in the story by deadline. :)

I think about times when print shops were burned down, a single publisher/reporter was run out of town (or killed).
Maybe it’s due to the abandoned towns I’ve visited and the history I’ve read of the area.
Although, Howie Carr (Boston Herald) has told some stories of his possible encounters with Whitey Bulger in the 60’s/70’s. I think he still has them on a website should you care to look.
Visiting Hearst Castle was not without a history of some of his dealings either.
It’s been a good ten or more years since I read about Whitey Bulger and had forgotten him. Thanks for the reminder. I think I’ll take up a little reading on his antics once again.
