As I mentioned on the other thread, there is always April 15th to take action to starve the government! At least for a while.

I am planning to put my tax payment in escrow, have it documented as in escrow, and attach the documentation along with a nice note to the IRS and mail it in on April 15th.

My nice note will explain that my check will remain in escrow until all members of the present administration who owe back taxes, pay their back taxes...at which time my payment will be mailed!

I would certainly understand working folks wanting to take part in a work strike, provided it didn't cost them their job. You can be sure if ones boss is an Obama supporter, he/she may fire an employee for taking a day or more off from work.

I see it as very difficult to get folks to jeopardize their jobs by striking when it is hard times and jobs are already hard to find and also to keep with so many layoffs.

My action on April 15th as described above may be easier for folks to consider. After all, Tim Geithner, our Sec.of Treasury, still owes back taxes for 2003 along with several others in this administration who also owe back taxes.

Don't you think it is reasonable for us to demand that those who work in the government pay their back taxes before we pay ours? :)

Putting back taxes in escrow, along with your note, seems to be one of the most practical ideas. Starve the beast!

Since it appears our upcoming tax hike will be used for abortions, I believe that alone would propel a large number of participants. Along this ground, as well as the unconstitionalality of Zerocare, several in this administration who already owe back taxes, and the unsustainable debt they have bestowed upon us, I can foresee a lot of participation is possible.

The tea parties have a postive purpose, even if the ******** in Washington dont take notice of them.

Don't think they don't notice.

They always pretend not too notice in order to try to demoralize us but they really do notice. Also, every time Pelosi et al slander Tea Party folks, it is a gift that drives more people to the cause.

That being said, there are some things that need to be done IMO. First of all, the Tea Party movement needs a theme and a symbol that everyone can unite around. It must be a demand that is concrete and focused enough to represent the fundamental change that is needed and needs to harken back to the constitution, liberty and the principles that the founding fathers laid out.

As Conservatives we have generally done a damn poor job of educating people and articulating our views and that needs to change. Most of all, we could sure use a dynamic, articulate and visionary spokesman and leader.

Who will that be??

Yes, I’ve voted for Republicans. Most recently I voted for Chris Christie in here in NJ, even though I didn’t support him in the primary. I voted for McCain in 08, even though I didn’t support him in the primary. Basically, I am a pragmatist in practice. I vote for the lesser of two idiots. My actual views represent less than 1% of the country. But, you make the best of it.

Good luck, even if she is in there doing her nails, she won;t see you. They don’t care. i have sent letters, faxes, phoned, e-mails. I got the same standard form back that covered NONE of my concerns.

Give her my best ....

I was thinking of writing a piece in our local paper, which covers about 100,000 people. How she was inaccessible to our area.
But to be honest, I am vacillating on it. I doubt it would be worth the paper it is printed on and the timing is too late to do anything about this vote and too early to do anything about her re-election.

>>Let them be the aggressors.<<

>Isn’t that what the Torries said?<

I don’t know that part of history that well, it may have been.
but I know it worked pretty damn well in Thiamin square.

> and taking over the USA in a mini-commie-coup being “aggressive” on their part???

Geez. What ELSE do you need them to do to prove that they mean us harm?<

certainly there is a take over and circumvention of our rights and the constitution. But until they take up arms against us we can not.
It is at the point (and we are nearing it) when they force heir will upon us through the use of violence that we can take up arms against them in defense of our rights.

Prior to that I do not think that we are constitutionally correct in doing it. Let them be the first to use force is what I am saying.
Let it turn into a Thiamin square, where we stand against a tank and get world coverage. Only at that point can we get the sympathy and they become the total aggressor in EVERYONE’s eyes.

Otherwise we just become branded as “right wing extremists” and they can punish us as they want. And they will bring in troops and we will have that much of a harder time winning.

"I vote for the lesser of two idiots."

That's exactly what I have done ever since voting for Reagan, who was, IMO, the ONLY presidential candidate we've had that was a GREAT choice. I felt like I've really had no choice ever since.

Now....if Sarah Palin were to run, I would feel...once again...like I did when voting for Reagan. Elated!!!

Yes, you do have a point. But what if their backup plan, sans the one to mow us down if/when we march on Washington with Mr. Smith (& Wesson), is to create another crisis whereby they can declare martial law and disarm us “”legally””? Ever seen the show Jericho? It’s fiction and yet....with this commie, Marxist, radical regime...I wouldn’t put ANYthing past Zero and his union thugs, DemoncRats and radical commie/muslim buds.

I’m just wondering if we’ll find ourselves in a situation one day whereby we had wished we’d stood up and done something, done ANYthing, to try and stop them.....

while we still had a chance to do so.....but didn’t.

I know I won’t see gigglebritches! There is ONE person in her office I’ve spoken with a couple of times who amazes me that she even works there. I’ll watch her put my complaint into the report that goes to DC weekly.

We know that they want to disarm us legally. hey are trying daily. That is why they set up the DHS report marking us a s”domestic terrorists”
But people aren’t buying it.
My point is that if we do not give them the opportunity to say “see, we told you so, they are threating us with violence” then they are screwed.

We can always meet violence with violence later. I would NEVER give up my guns under any circumstances.
But I think it best to keep it tucked away and out of sight until I am damn ready to use it. When I do, someone else is going down, i am going home.

They can’t just mow us down if they have no reason to defend themselves. The political fall back would cause a military coup - they know it.

We get what we deserve for tolerating the left infiltrating government since Woodrow Wilson and the progressives. Our demise is incremental. It took Rome 400 years of steady collapse. We are doing it in less than 100. It’s not taking just government back. We need to reclaim all our institutions, education, foundations, press, religion, immigration, borders etc. All are in the hands of the hard ;left who make up 10% of the population. It’s time for the other 90% to get active and purge the cancer...

I’ve never voted for a presidential candidate with any enthusiasm. My primary vote has never been for the eventual winner. I think the whole thing is corrupt to the core. I don’t know why anyone would think otherwise.
